Anyone hyped for the Nether Update?
Or is Zig Forums too brainlet for Minecraft?
Anyone hyped for the Nether Update?
When is it coming out?
I started a game on vanilla hardcore mode, but I avoided going into the Nether because I heard that a big update for it was coming. I haven't played in a few weeks now.
Should be dropping today. I'm waiting for it to drop so I can start a new hardcore world.
I played Minecraft 10 years ago before there were villagers, Nether or even Endermen, got into it 3 months ago and I'm having the time of my life. Why the fuck did I stop playing, before even the Adventure update.
I just need to decide what to build as a main thing. Either a W40k hive city for my villagers, a concentration camp, or do a crazy thing like Philza's Endlantis.

I'm hyped. My server isn't updating for a week because of spigot and bugs, but I know it's going to be fun racing to get the first netherite set, fighting the pig guys, finding the new biomes...
When mojang decides to stop being lazy hacks and update the game with substance instead of shitty block reskins ill give a fuck
Blame Microsoft not Mojang.
But this update does add a shitton of content, one of the biggest in recent dates. Finally there's a reason to go to the nether for fun.
I admit it; I'm too brainlet to play Minecraft. Without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the content goes completely over my head.
When will we have an Aether update?
>Playing Minecraft at all after Microsoft bought them
Long gone are the days when Notch would come to Zig Forums to post Minecraft Updates.
I honestly dont like the nether, it's too spooky.
If by spooky you mean hurt your eyes then yes
Ngl im excited to come back to Tree Punching Simulator
waiting on it, yes.
im split between picking up my current world and update it to 1.16 or start a new world from scratch.
my current world is pretty much maxed thus i might accidentally just steamroll the new content. im thinking about creating a new world random seed hardcore
i wonder whats gonna come after nether update
Cave update.
Cat girls
Didn't they say that they would add more dimensions only after the nether was worth the time?
Never ever
Either mountain or cave update. My little brother told me one of the next updates was gonna drastically change Meinkraft. I guess they are "afraid" of Hytale.
I want them to add MC dungeons assets. And for fuck's sake give us more bookshelves option. Also gold stairs. There so much they can add without it feeling too much or modded. When you think about it, there aren't that many block types.
Will the update hit PS4? And how good of a pc do you need for that fancy ray tracing stuff?
Already played the shit out of the snapshots. Bastions are not as cool as they were before playing. I love the forests which is apparently an unpopular opinion.
no clue I've been too busy making minecraft skins
>cave update
You absolute buffoon. You worthless piece of trash. Caves will never be updated. I expect them to add a whole new dimension and update it before they make caves not ass
Alpha / Beta, so much stuff was added in like 2 years, yet in 9 years content has been added at a snails pace in comparison
For the raytracing you need a RTX gpu. And it only works on specific maps designed for it, literal scam. Just get shaders.
PS4 uses Bedrock now IIRC - sony finally budged on using it otherwise they weren't going to be getting any more Minecraft updates.
For ray tracing you need a Win10 PC on the Bedrock version with at least an RTX card.
aether will be added before cave update at this point
What's the point of playing vanilla? It's so empty.
They haven't even fixed the bug thats been plaguing the game for ages. Breaking a block causes a proportional amount of FPS stutter to the geometry in the chunk you broke it in. Makes the game run like ass if you've built literally anything.
Meanwhile someone took like a month with Fabric and made Sodium that makes the game run 300x better. These bugs are updated constantly on Jira, I wonder if they even look anymore while their mods slave away at triaging old issues by kicking the can down the road.
How so? Look at what people like Philza or the turbo autists at Hermitcraft are making. There's so much to do.
Honestly things like this are partially why I'm starting to play the Bedrock version more - the performance is vastly better than Java, plus Crossplay.
It just sucks that it's super soulless with fucking microtransactions for literal shit - not to mention super locked down with no major mod support (although they're working on some scripting API for addons, which don't really compare).
I can see they're probably going to phase Java out at some point, but by that time they better allow us to remove all the microtransaction bullshit and replicate all of Javas quirks.
Bedrock is great because even on my shitty PC i can get an insane render distance with barely any frame drops.
call me when minecraft is finally dwarf fortress 3d like it was promised to be. Otherwise nothing that was promised was delivered and I'd rather play with actual legos than build with red bricks in mineycrafta.
If I wanted to build a building I'd open Blender, or MagicaVoxel. Vanilla Minecraft has next to 0 progression, it's just block building with the most vapid excuse for gameplay.
What's it gonna change? How is minecraft now anyway? I mostly played before hunger was added, only a couple of hours after that.
Most people dont need autism based crafting with gregtech installed to find content in a game thats always been reap what you sow
Haven't updated since 1.12 because I like my mods lmao
I genuinely do not understand what Philza is ever doing. I was interested when he showed off his 5 year hardcore map, but when I look at his streams every so often it's just transporting fucktarded amounts of blocks to make gigantic cubes
