I honestly can't tell whether or not I'm enjoying this game.
I honestly can't tell whether or not I'm enjoying this game
You are.
You're welcome.
You're not.
You're welcome.
You might be.
You’re welcome
I hope you figure it out.
I liked bloodborne but didn't like ds3, will I like sekiro
I think you will. :)
I'm not sure.
Could you think it over?
you have good taste so you will
I feel the same way as you about BB and DaS3 and I hated Sekiro, for what it's worth.
You're not, because you paid $60 for a video game when playing rock paper scissors with a friend would've given you the exact same experience.
Enjoying? What the fuck are you talking about, are you gitting gud or not?
I honestly can't tell, some enemies I melt through and some kill me millions of times and I have no idea why. Even the copypaste General minibosses are wildly different.
It took me quite a while for it to really click for me. I the ape was really where I started to love it.
Yeah definitely.
The only thing you have to do is stop trying to play it like Dark Souls. Dodging is useless against all but the biggest bosses (the ones that seem like Dark Souls bosses). Just lean into the design and play it like its meant to be played and you'll have a blast.
Are you supposed to deflect everything?
Yes.
You either parry, jump for a zone attack, mikiri counter for a thrust, and jump away and pray for grabs. That's it desu
I do all that but I always forget to jump for a zone attack and dodge instead.
Wonder if a similar game in a European setting would work? Not Dark Souls, but a full knight style game with halfswording, jousting, etc.
That's the git gud part
It all comes down to memorization
That's normal. You'll learn with time.
yeah it was like that for me till the very end. Still haven't replayed it
From what I've noticed, Sekiro rewards you if you're more aggressive in a fight, keeping up pressure on an enemy. It feels more like an actual fight, where both of you are exchanging blows.
Dark Souls is more about dancing around blocking and dodging, getting one or two hits in the few openings a boss has. Then going back to being purely defensive.
That's a good way of looking at it.
You don't have to play Sekiro aggressively though. You can skirmish and pick your moments just as much as in Dark Souls if you prefer, it'll actually make some fights much easier, and others harder.
Played it for like a week and found out I didn't like it. Was expecting something like Dark Souls but felt like I was playing Tenchu.
Maybe I'll try it again in a few months.
Fantastic game. Shame about the content and lack of online tough. I 100% this in the first two weeks.
Sekiro sincerely found its way into my favorite games of all time. Just like the Souls games, it feels like a classic NES/SNES era arcade game, but with contemporary additions like a decent story, marvelous production values, and wonderful 3D design. Isshin is top 5 final bosses of all time, potentially the number 1 final boss of all time, and it'll be there for fucking years to come, at least in terms of bigger studios.
Didn't enjoy it personally.
Setting isn't for me.
I know brother. Which one tough? Old man on top of the tower, or lightning dude on the field?
Hell yeah. Felt like a 1000 cums when I finally got that fucker
