>Ellie kills Abby Ellie realizes that this wasn't the cure to her rage and trauma as she thoughts and that killing Abby isn't the redemption that she thought it would be. Too late for her to go back to Dina and JJ so she lives in misery until Lev comes back to kill her, cycle is broken by Dina who wouldn't go to kill Lev because she's sensible enough to understand that is not the answer
>Ellie doesn't kill Abby Ellie breaks the cycle, does what Joel would've wanted her to do, finally forgives Joel, moves on with her life knowing that she did the right thing for the first time in the entire game and no longer blinded by rage and sorrow
Why do you guys want Abby to die again? If you didn't play TLOU2 don't answer.
Should have done the dishonored thing and base it on your play style. If you've avoided killing up to that point, spare Abby and vice versa if you haven't.

>Ellie leaves Abby and Lev to die Circle is broken, everyone got their revenge, happy ending
Ian Torres
But she still murders all those people including the chubby Asian lady playing Hotline Miami on her Playstation Vita. Ellie is a monster unworthy of forgiveness and her arc doesn't exist.
Jayden Wilson
I haven't played either gayme or watched its playthrough
Benjamin Edwards
The correct answer is kill them both, or leave them on the pikes (at least shoot them first). You don't get to feel bad and let them go after murdering another battalion and seeing a little flashback.
Jaxson Cook
VIOLENCE BREED VIOLENCE
Owen Rodriguez
Should have ended with abby sitting on a comfy old chair in front of abby still tied up and ellie eats a lot of food in front of her laughing and waiting for her to die
Jason Parker
I thought about that, but I think the ending would be less effective with multiple endings. Ellie kills herself after her nightmares gets worse and she realizes she fucked up her relationship with Joel because he didn't let her sacrifice herself to save the entire world but she can't even control herself from sparing 2 people.
Isaiah Wilson
That first paragraph is so filled with assumptions you might as well post a fanfic and say it's canon. It would've been stronger to kill Abby and have Ellie be destroyed (physically or mentally) by her revenge. The "muh last second revelation" is horrible writing and doesn't tie up her arc.
Wyatt Clark
>Ellie kills herself Even happier ending then
Christian Russell
She shoulda killed abby then went down trying to kill the cult.
Henry Lewis
Why do the dogs in this game lose their ability to smell you when you pop their owners or everyone is on alert?
It's pretty funny that Ellie only managed to save Abby's life at the end. Without her intervention, Abby and the tranny would have just died on the poles.
Henry Phillips
Agreed, it's a much better ending. But a lot of people seem to get mad at the choice to let Abby live because "NOOOOO SHE KILLED JOELERINOOOOOOO" and not because it gives Ellie a proper happy ending which she doesn't deserve.
Also I think I could make these assumptions considering the game was really shoving this in your face. The themes are pretty obvious
Luis Gonzalez
Making up alternative realities and cognitive distancing is a form of cope and a sign of mental immaturity. Accept it for what it is, hate it, love it, but don't make up head canons because it rots your brain.
Carter Hernandez
answer honestly, did you play this game? Not that the game is so profound and complex and there's multiple layers or anything, but if you think it's simply "revenge is bad" and "Ellie didn't kill Abby because killing is bad" it seems like you didn't play it
Levi Watson
>sparing 2 people Two dying people that others already decided to kill, people that would have died regardless if she decided to fuck off elsewhere that day, people that brutally murdered countless others, people that killed her "father" AND would kill her as well if she decided to take the same revege she was subjected to
Not like she actually decided to spare them, she just got her ass beaten, losing half a hand AND her new family as well She end up being more miserable than before, having also killed others in the process
What an absolute mess
Carter Sanders
>tldr; shitty lazy writing that's been done a hundred times before You know what's been done to death more than that? The hero's journey, literally in nearly every single form of narrative ever made throughout history. Why are you not in every single thread on Zig Forums complaining about the biggest trope of all time, the hero's journey?
Dylan Adams
of course I didn't play it I watched it why would I spend money on it
Ryan Phillips
If it was in a big AAA release that was the only game Zig Forums was talking about with 10+ threads at any given time I probably would but there isn't and here we are
Jason Barnes
She's a cuck for not killing Abby. A little dumb bitch. She killed anyone and everything in her way except arguably for the only person who deserved it. Who cares about the good? The morality? You can still be a good person even if you get revenge. You can still have a good conscious even if you commit the act. Who cares if Joel wouldn't have actually wanted you to kill her? Fuck it. Oh boo hoo you're ugly jew gf left you, find someone else.
It's hack writing to pull the "she'll be just as bad as them" garbage.
Asher Turner
>If you didn't play TLOU2 don't answer Haven't played it, never will, will always shit on it, dilate
Justin Ross
Be my guest, but there's a reason why I didn't want people who didn't play the game to not comment. If you played the game you'd understand.
Ian Gonzalez
>moves on with her life knowing that she did the right thing for the first time in the entire game and no longer blinded by rage and sorrow False. Ellie kills herself after TLOU2.
Alexander Murphy
No she didn't
Mason Hill
Fasle. The zombies now can fly in TLoU3
Levi Collins
>Ellie kills Abby and everyone who knew who so nobody can take revenge I will now buy your game.
Angel Sanchez
Because I like Joel and Ellie, and absolutely despise the ugly dyke. It's not about the characters, it's about catharsis for the player to finally get to kill that annoying, disgusting thing.
Grayson Perez
Just kill the ladyboy too. The cycle is broken.
Nolan Lopez
I watched it too, felt like the best way to experience it.
Camden Hughes
The game puts you in the position of Ellie when Joel gets killed before you even get to see him properly or say goodbye. That propels you to the same rage Ellie experiences when she decides to go after Abby. By the end (and I assume you didn't play the game because it's pretty hard to miss that) you're still in Ellie's position when you understand that killing Abby isn't the catharsis you thought it would be.
Personally I was much more satisfied with seeing Ellie who during the entire game destroyed herself and her loved ones to kill Abby finally patch herself up and move on. She didn't deserve an ending half as happy as this.
>Ummm... THE HERO'S JOURNEY IS A TROPE It's not though, the concept of the hero's journey exists because it's literally how you tell a compelling story in general. The heroes journey can be applied to literally every piece of entertainment because, if it's not a part of a piece of media, that piece of media is either a shitty documentary or a livestream. Your argument is the equivalent of saying >"The" is such a boring word. We use it so fucking much, why aren't you bitching about "The" instead of "cunt"?
Chase Price
Could've been nice to have Abby just dying by starving. Only Lev surviving somehow. Making this all revenge thing from Ellie absurd.
