I'm 3/4ths the way through and actually think it's great. Outside the LBGTQ stuff and that jewy scene in the synagogue, I actually find this game more interesting than the original from a story perspective.

So what? Going at it alone on a revenge spree as Ellie in Seattle is better then anything in the first game.

I don't think it's quite on the same level, but I feel people will evaluate this game in years to come the same way people do with Metal Gear Solid 2.

They treat humans as useless based on data roughly from the present, failing to understand that this scatterbrain human nature is enforced artificially by the system, of which they are part of. Humanity can become better if it's allowed to develop culture, but they mistakenly claim it's always ben and always will be like this. If the context they have created persists, it certainly will.

They are just trying to treat the symptoms of the disease they've somewhat caused. Even if you argue that they themselves did not cause it, they certainly have the power to cure it by changing the system into one that enforces individuality. But they choose not to, because sheeple are easier to understand than human ingenuity.

As an analogue, Zig Forums would be something very scary to them, because it proves the idea wrong. Not all people are the same, and a lot of people can handle themselves.
