Jobs are like the easiest thing to get. I had 5 interviews and all of them wanted me. Just go in there and give a firm handshake. No need to bootlick your current boss so he'll throw peanuts at you

And even if you don't get a job, you can always just start a business yourself. Just go out there and be yourself, money is literally growing on trees.

The real answer is laziness and complacency mixed with the fear of a worst case possible scenario.
Once you realise all you're doing in life is keeping yourself busy to avoid being consumed by the truth that nothing we do actually matters, it's much easier to take the steps you need to improve your life.

The burden on proof does not fall on me for saying there's no purpose to our lives, it falls on you who fails to give evidence for anything resembling a purpose to our meaningless lives beyond some sort of "god works in mysterious ways argument".
