The The Last of Us Part 2 ending makes no sense

How does Elie not killing Abby in the cycle of vengeance? Ellie kills all of Abby's friends including her lover if this was a story about ending the cycle of violence when all of that have not happened?

Because it all started with Joel saving Abby and it finished with Elie saving Abby.

It's pottery, it rhymes.

The true ending is in the dlc where abby got raped to death by ellie's guitar.

What?? Ellie adopts abby as a surrogate daughter too?

>Because it all started with Joel saving Abby
No it started with Abby's father trying to kill Ellie

no the true ending is a DLC 20 minute cutscene of Abby and Ellie having lesbian sex using Joel's sperm vial as a dildo to make a baby

Losing her fingers made Ellie realize that's she's lost count of how many people she has killed.

Yeah it's pretty deep, I'm sure a lot of people missed it. No biggie OP.

Question for anyone reading: Can someone explain to me why people think this game is shoving "LGBT politics" down our throats? I've played it to completion now and not once did I feel the game was trying to push any kind of agenda on me.

This is a sincere question, I was waiting for the part where the game forces it's politics on me and it never happened, so what did I miss? Are people really this stupid?

Yeah gamers just hate diversity. They equate it with having politics forced down their throat. Even though nobody ever even says the words gay, trans, lesbian or anything like that... there are pride flags on some of the streets but if you have an issue with that then you seriously have a problem...

The love people feel for Ellie and Joel makes them not realize how terrible some of their actions are as well, all the people Joel must've killed, all the people that Ellie kills thoughout the game... they're both just as bad as Abby is, probably even worse than her. I love Ellie and Joel, but now I love Abby as well, she's just as important to the story as the previous protagonists were, and hopefully with time, people will realize that.

And I'm with you on that ending, if I had to choose between Abby and Ellie, it would be Abby.

Really wish for Part III to focus on her and Lev, or maybe a DLC/Standalone like The Lost Legacy was to Uncharted 4.

Absolutely serious question here, did anyone in the game ever explain why Abby is unaturally ripped? Is she actually a tranny ?
Out of everything, I feel this needs to be focused on the most, what was the thought process in making her that muscular ?

I'm not the original guy you replied to.

I feel like the Abby we know isn't the real Abby. We, Joel, put her on this path. She was a young girl who loved her dad. She loved saving animals with her dad. Most importantly, she knew what he dad was trying to do and even when her dad was conflicted (it was obvious) about doing the surgery, she comes in with no hesitation and lets him know that if it were her, she would want the surgery done. She was full of hope and her whole life is ruined.

Yara even says that she's a good person. She's understanding when it comes to Lev and the Seraphites. It open to see that how the WLF views them is not what it seems. She also is flawed. Her obsession with vengeance led to her missing out on relationships with Owen. She is afraid of heights, she wants to help out people who saved her life (Yara with the surgery).

She's human but since she killed Joel we are automatically meant to hate her but I feel that the game challenges you to see something else besides that, if you don't fine...but the game atleast wants you to understand why she did what she did, which is another challenge...one that is hard to understand because not liking her is the simplest thing to do so you don't see anything else.

I liked her alot.

Pathetic

revenge muscles

Am I the only one who know that abby is now infected after she ate Ellies' fingers

>pushing human limits
Pretty ironic with how much crunchs this game had

This is so Kojima-esque. Druckmann literally calls himself a misunderstood genius in his OWN GAME.

That's what I find most irritable about TLoU2. It's smacking you the whole way about violence and vengeance being bad, but it never gives you the option to say "You know what, you're right, I don't need to even look for Abby" or even better, have the option to, as Abby, choose to not kill Joel.

But let's be honest, the real message of the game is that women make shit decisions that end up hurting those around them.

They show a gym, and her lifting a little, outside of that nothing

So when Abby killed Joel I thought she was just some nameless Firefly can't and I relished hunting her down and murdering her friends.

Bur once I learned that Abby was the doctors daughter I sort of went "oh fuck" and realized all the antagonism and sense of loss at Joels death i felt as a player, Abby had experienced thousandfold worse.

If I could justify, encourage and enjoy Ellies quest for revenge, how could I hate Abby for what she did to Joel? She legitimately has a better "claim" to her revenge than Ellie did.

Having my perceptions of Abby wiped clean like this left me free to just appreciate her as a person.

I found her jokes funny, I found her motivations clear and understandable, I liked the insights into her character that we got that just humanised her in my eyes. Dont get me wrong if I had to chose who to hang out and have a beer with id probably pick Ellie. But there's more to it than that.

When she fought Ellie the first time I wanted them both to live. I kept trying to avoid attacking Ellie trying to escape or find a way to avoid the fight. But i was probably leaning more towards Ellie than Abby.

But then Abby doesn't kill Dina, doesnt kill Ellie and takes Lev and leaves.

when Ellie can't give up her need for closure and leaves JJ and Dina for her own selfish needs the Ellie i knew and loved from 7 years ago who I rooted for to get her revenge died in my eyes.

So when she finds Abby tortured injured and exhausted but using her last remaining strength to help Lev into the boat i was happy to have Ellie just leave. But when Ellie forces the fight. Even threatening to kill Lev i wanted Abby to win.

I wanted Abby to live so she could experience life free from the need to kill Joel. Free from judgement from her friends for what she did while killing Joel. And i wanted Abby to live for Lev because i knew Lev needed her.

Anyone blaming it on "homophobes" when fucking everyone knows Ellie is lesbian are retards. Real homophobes wouldn't fucking play it let alone buy it in the first place

You're fucking retarded. All her actions show that she is not a good person, and likely a psycho. Her saving the zebra with her dad was a moment of vomit-inducing cheap manipulation by Cuckman on the level of 'but Hitler loved dogs'.

>Can someone explain to me why people think this game is shoving "LGBT politics" down our throats?
Because the game has lesbians and transgenders in it some people are always going to hate on that. But that in no way invalidates all the actual criticism of the game.

WOW This can't be real!

>implying hitler did something wrong

it's not about whether she's a good person or not(which she isn't she betrays her group for some people she just met a few hours ago) the same way no one cares if Joel is a good person(which he isn't he canonly ambushes innocent people in the first game) or not it's about how the game presented them and how that makes you feel about them she could have been the most amazing person in the world but she kills a character that I care about in the stupidest fucking way that makes her and Joel look stupid and then just a dodge the most important consequence of that action so that the story can push its morals over making sense
Also everything you said in your first paragraph can be applied to Joel and Ellie

>Bur once I learned that Abby was the doctors daughter I sort of went "oh fuck
How is this any different from her being the family or friend of any other random Firefly that Joel killed?
>, how could I hate Abby for what she did to Joel?
Are you really incapable of understanding how you can understand the reasons behind a person doing something and still disapprove of the action?
>She legitimately has a better "claim" to her revenge than Ellie did.
Abby's claim to revenge is that Joel murdered her father Abby murders Elie's father their claim to revenge is identical.

are you assuming most people review bombing played the game?

Like people actually reviewing the game, uploading screenshots, videos, showing themselves breaking the discs live and streaming it etc etc? Yes. Not everything is a fucking conspiracy mate

So did you miss the bigot sandwiches or what?

So because 10 people has the game (likely not even finished it) it is not a conspiracy?

The ending is just anti-climatic. Really a downer. Abby came out stronger than Ellie because she decided not to kill Ellie and Ellie only realised killing Abby wont bring Joel Back and had she killed Abby, then what? Lev or someone else would seek revenge against Ellie.

I mean the WLF would probably go to Jackson to destroy them for what Ellie did in Seattle.
