My cousin and I always bonded over Dark Souls and Bloodborne and we would always play for hours whenever we got to see eachother, which was maybe 3 or 4 times a year. He was so fucking hype for Elden Ring that he would text me OOOHHH’s at like 3 in the morning sometimes. He caught Covid-19 about 6 weeks ago and died 2 weeks later. Fears:
- Armor will be so edgy it's retarded
- Music will be so edgy you can't even enjoy it
- Sound design will be full of edgy screams like Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne which I very much hate
- Story might be retarded
Hopes:
- Huge world with some of the greatest set pieces you can exlpore of all time, for example imagine riding up to a Boletaria-like castle and raiding it or descending into a valley holding a Latria-like leve, not to mention a gigantic swamp, far bigger than the swamps we've seen so far.
- Story back to something decent
- Graphics should be really good, hoping they ditch the washed out visuals
