A New Sonic Game it's coming to New Game Expo 2020

Just fucking stop. If you want to play a Sonic game, play Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3/S&K, or Sonic CD. Those are THE ONLY GOOD SONIC GAMES EVER MADE. Everything else is shit and no matter what, no fucking braindead modern developer can make a good game ever again.
We should just remove every game made from around 1995 and later from existence (basically everything made for PS1/N64/Saturn/MSWindows and after) and force gamers to go back to playing real games.

small brain take. Also, CD and 1 are very mediocre games with only a few memorable moments. Also, the adventure games are still among the bset 3D platformers out there, partially because the genre hasn't seen that much innovation in years.

Sonic Mania is the greatest sonic fangame to ever exist but at the end of the day it's not even as good as Advance 1 let alone Sonic 1 and CD.

I'd toss in the Game Gear games as being decent and Advance 1 as well but I generally agree. Mania simply fell short in many ways, it got some things right but a lot of things wrong as well and at the end of the day the level/boss design and the art direction just didn't feel quite like a classic game.

Oh but I do. Sonic Mania has more in common with Sonic Megamix than it does with the actual classics.

The level design simply felt boring and uninspired and a lot of the bosses were designed like in a shitty Dimps game.

The Badniks weren't a threat either. At least CD had an excuse for this since it was a different game more focused on exploration and time travel but Mania has no such excuse.

That's the point. Their presence was felt in 1/2/3K wehreas in Sonic Mania it's almost like I'm playing Sonic CD with how invisible they feel. Like a lot of them don't even bother to attack you at all.
