This, i saw a streamer who liked it and he was all, "a masterpiece of a script" and " the story structure really uniquely shows how both sides aren't in the wrong" he then proceeded to say all the hate for the game comes from people who aren't used to deep unconventional story telling and that halos story is more our speed. I couldnt take offense, it was obvious everything he was saying was a projection. I said the same thing as you about part 1. Cheap emotional manipulation. I still liked part 1 cuz of the brutal violence but with all the added political baggage of part 2, i'll pass.
