Do people like this game just because it makes them feel like a hardass. Just because it's difficult doesn't mean it's good when there aren't many things you can do to keep up
>Bosses are so unbearably difficult for no reason

Holy fuck this toilet shitter.

Go on PSN and claim the Free Legacy DLC. Download it. Go to the Velvet Room and select the compendium. Select the highest level Persona available. Proceed to rape everything.
Edit: Go to Mementos. Hold down R2 and run over everything. Free experience and Personas.
It's sad that overleveled DLC is required to beat the game even on lower difficulties
Use buffs and debuffs. If it's the boss I'm thinking then it's pretty much the game telling you that you need to start using those things.
>Persona 5
>hard
The only dungeon with ANY difficulty at all is Kamoshida's castle and even then it's only mildly challenging. After that you can steamroll the game with all the SP recovery options available to you.
Wait I only played normal P5 not P5R yet, is it actually that difficult? P5 was normal RPG difficulty to me
They're just clowns.
>Difficult
no that requires good game design
>Horrendously overpowered enemies
Yes

If you are familar with past Persona games there are more workarounds, but the DLC gives more options for newer players. Even the lower level DLC Personas can be used for Lockdown Itemization which can greatly change gameplay.
imagine actually making this
>Horrendously overpowered enemies
Imagine actually thinking this. Basic shadows don't even get a hit in. The only "effort" fights are the bosses.
>charlotte
>clown
Wiped out by Shaggy 2 Dope. Not a good way to go.
given the other shit on the list its not that bad
right?
Only one boss should give you trouble and that's only if you don't know how to use baton pass.
Playing in merciless and my only wall so far was Kaneshiro until I bought everyone a sleep resistant pendant from Iwai and casted AoE confuse on the guards and smacked him instead.
>>Horrendously overpowered enemies
>Yes
P5 is a stealth game as much as it is a turn based JRPG. You need to get turn advantage pretty much whenever possible or else you will get worn down very quickly.
where the fuck is clownpiece
Persona (and all RPGs really) are best played on easy. Take the easy pill, you’ll have more time to do other stuff instead of grinding.
What the fuck? There were so many QOL improvements in Royal that made combat a fucking breeze. Disaster shadows in particular can end a fight instantaneously and will seeds make it easy to 1 day a palace even on hard/merciless.
Even without the DLC this game is so easy to exploit...especially once you unlock fusion alarms. Anyone who claims this is unfairly hard beyond maybe the Okumura fight has never played a fucking JRPG before.
Hard or Merciless still have some humongous bullshit moments, and in P5R's case some bosses were made even harder, unlike P4G.
But yes, its still sitting on the medium to easy range of JRPGs out there.
The only boss that legit felt harder was Okumura, the rest either got nerfed into the pavement (Madarame) or were just a tad different (Kamoshida, Shido). I might just be too autistic about grinding/keeping up with shit for this to hit me.
>playing through NG+
>completely forgot field trip was Akechi's key moment
>make blueberry pancakes during break 2 in-game days before meeting him
>suddenly pancakes taste even sweeter now
Destiny and pancakes go hand in hand
>666 filesize
ok I'm getting worried now
P5 isn't difficult at all. You're just bad at video games.
imagine defending this
Have you tried getting good?
Just debuff bosses and buff your party. Hope this helps.
Beat Xenoblade 1+2, and Fire Emblem 3H + Echoes so no, it's not my first jrpg. The balance just sucks
i know this is a bait thread but i couldn't ever imagine getting my shit kicked in by royal, or even vanilla p5 for that matter
unless this is LITERALLY your first game period (knowing Zig Forums it probably is) there is no excuse not to play on hard and steamroll the game.
>learn to use buffs
>if your party can't hit a weakness, use an item that can exploit it for you
>LEARN TO FUCKING GUARD ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PRESS CIRCLE AND THEN X
hope this helped!! (:
I can definitely understand where you are coming from OP. When I first played the game I kept my low level Personas and allowed them to level with me, instead of fusing for boosted Personas at my level.
Edit: Before anyone asks, I switched out Repel Wind for his naturally strong resistance against fire.
Literally the only boss in the game I didnt easily beat first try was Shadow Okamura because I wasn't expecting the delay tactics (playing on hard), rejigger personas to account for the weaknesses and he went down easily.
The only way any of these bosses could possibly put up a fight is if you skipped every encounter possible and as much of mementos as possible so your party is way underleveled
Whoops.
You're a special kind of retardation
If I guard I can't attack.
That only is relevant if I hit a weakness and can move again
AKA only 1 party member can do this
How does that help retard
This. The game is just hard at the beginning, after the first dungeon you can just grind like in any other Persona game
You can grind im Kamoshida's castle but it's more limited
>Names a bunch of well known weeb games he's probably never played
>"Dude trust me"
At best you're assmad a red shadow (that you are specifically warned about and told to avoid) killed you and at worst this is just a bait thread. Either way the game isn't hard if you have more than 4 functioning brain cells, get off this shit.
if you think the bosses in this game are difficult you are a genuine mental invalid
Were you playing on the hardest difficulty? We're you not fusing for new better persona? Did you ignore ryuji and not get his Insta kill for exp and compendium cash? Honestly what was troubling you besides bosses?
>"JOKER DONT FORGET TO GUARD!"
That's when, the game literally handholds you when a guard or die attack is coming from a boss.
I found it way easier than the OG P5. Occasionally some stupid one hit kill BS will get me but its pure RNG.
There's literally one hard boss in the entire game. Git gud faggot.
>XBC just use Melia/Dunban/Riki and switch in Shulk for Melia in NG+ when you get the 3rd monado
>XBC2 just smash orbs 5 times
>FE 3H just dump all training into flying and ride wyverns
Keep pretending I never played jrpgs just to defend your shitty game
I wouldn't classify this guy as hard at all. His boss fight was pretty fun actually, felt good.
It was the only boss fight in the game where it felt like you actually had to try, very disappointed by the final boss because I was expecting another giga fight at the end that would tip all the previous boss fight tactics on their head
I was so mad when Futaba told me to keep atacking robot Haru, my instict told me to guard instead but as a retard I tried to find a weakness and got wiped by her selfdestruct.
The people that had problems with Ronald McDonald didn't diversify and put all their faith in physical attacks.
You're a literal retard and complain when you can't beat a baby tier game that does most of the strategy for you. It's hard for me to think of any turned based RPGs easier than Persona 5.
no wonder you're struggling, you're used to nu-nintendo's turbo-casual garbage.
Nah, if you did that you would've won easily
>Hard mode
>Baton pass with psy items 3 times into Triple Down
>Who cares if they resist, they still take 50%
>The people that had problems with Ronald McDonald didn't diversify and put all their faith in physical attacks.
Guilty. I mean, i did get him on the 2nd try, i just had to fuse some new personas to cover for every weakness.
The game is so handholdy I'd just do whatever it said lel, that said I think I wiped her because she has so little health I figured I could down her first
>no wonder you're struggling, you're used to nu-nintendo's turbo-casual garbage
The balance sucks because there is literally no difficulty to it whatsoever, if you're having trouble then you need to learn the basic mechanics of the game. Fucking tard.
Who is best girl, Zig Forums?
I could see the new phase in the Shido fight being annoying to some people if they're caught off-guard, especially since there are two phases to get through before it. But I accidentally ended up walling him with a Persona that had Null Phys and Repel Bless on, so it just ended up being anti-climactic for me.
>Vitality of the tree/pinch anchor + Thermopylae
>The easily exploitable baton pass mechanic
>Ending with Rising slash/Deadly fury on a disaster shadow
>Safety net showtime attacks if you get fucked
>Cherrypicking overpowered shit like victory cry off the network fusion mechanic
>Fucking alarms in general giving you access to shit like Arms/Spell master and debilitate at the beginning of the game
>SP Adhesive 3 and Shiny Belt R
I could go on, if you haven't figured out how to break this game wide open by palace 3 (and that's being generous) you're just too much of a brainlet.
my bird bride
git gud faggot. a multitude of setups into technical damage and easy power ups via baton passes makes this game easy as all fuck.
