I can’t even remember one track besides Somnus or whatever it was called. Half the time there wasn’t even any music playing in the overworld so I just listened to music from old FFs

You should. Not that other user but I agree with you, the OST wasn't ever really front and center so I think in terms of the game itself the OST was pretty bad, it's so barren and void of sound and atmosphere a lot of the time. At least until you get back into the linear sections of the game where it gets good.

Played it on PC a while ago, and felt pretty fine to me. I didn't play it previously on PS3 so i can't tell if PS3 version is better or not, but PC worked fine for me

That's what I mean, the OST itself, the songs? Pretty good, I'd definitely say they're okay.
But when you're playing the game they almost never pop up except in the more linear chapters of the game, IE the back half of it. A huge, HUGE amount of the game you just rarely ever hear music or atmosphere much at all, which is why it's not exactly something I'd say makes the game better, since the game makes shit use of the ost.
PC had a ton of nonsense like 30fps lock, and stuttering and graphical artifacting, I remember people were working on a patch when the pc port dropped but I never paid much attention.

I agree with you there. When i played the game i thought something somewhat similar. But the times that some good music started playing it was very refreshing, and XV is one of the few games that i sit quietly on the menu before playing just to listen a bit to the music

To be entirely fair, I think almost everyone died to LMAODOOM at least once. I don't know anyone in real life who didn't, at least, and only seen a few people online who didn't. Most of the fight rewards you turtling and play very cautiously, then suddenly there's a fucking timer.
