No, he went crazy too fast and no one else knew the truth at all. If Nomura keeps adding his Nomuraisms to the Remake, the true ending will be Cloud travelling back in time to save someone. The players will assume he's gonna go save Aerith but he will instead "save" Sephiroth by telling him the whole truth of his existence.
