I feel like I still rushed P4G even having played the original since i missed tons of shit. I'd say if I took out my fusion autism and it was only rushing the game could have been cleared 40-50 hours (my game time is close to 70+ with a grain of salt since I left the game on), but some people buckle down and just finish it in 20 or less. Play SMT if you like the combat/fusion and can appreciate the press turn system.

Clocked 80hours as a first timer. I still missed quite a few things but did pretty decent for a first playthrough (golden ending, max social stats, maxed family + all party members social links and their 3rd personas, decent amount of side quests). Really it's the social links outside family-party-velvet room I'm feel I missed. I only maxed the nurse and the sports bros.

It's a waste of time. Animation takes too long and freezes you in place for the duration, you're lucky to get even one reply which means you get like 3sp. I've stopped bothering entirely, the Vita playerbase was much better for it.
