Not gonna lie, I don't like Abby at all but I never liked Ellie nor Joel at all either so seeing one getting killed and the other having her life completely ruined was oddly satisfying

It makes sense in the heads of sheltered ivory tower californians who have never experienced actual hardship for a second of their lives and that's all that matters.

Abby was a character who's vengeance made sense, and whose capacity for violence seemed believable. She was powerful for a woman but could still be overpowered by men. I personally liked her, and enjoyed playing her.

Ellie is is somehow a killing machine at 105lb and has a bunch of gay hipster tattoos. No I did not like her in the second game, she was way cooler to play as as a kid and all of the limitations that involved.

Abby is the personification of white women.
Not only does every character bend to her whim, her mere presence fucks up other characters story arcs.

Owen fucks her and almost ditches his pregnant wife for Abby.
Mel has an obvious dislike of Abby, yet repeatedly risks her life for Abby.
The Cult that fought off zombies magically turn inept.
Lev 'returns' to free her mom and ends up KILLING her.
Lev tries to emulate Abby, and fails in everyway, suffers brain damage late game.
Ellie loses all her experience and plot armor, only when fighting Abby.
Joel turns into a trusting idiot and ignores his 20 years experience in the post apocalypse.
Tommy, some omega level sniper cannot hit Abby.
Isaac has complete control over a gang of hundreds, survives a 3 year gang war, constantly breaks his plans to help Abby, then gets killed because of her.

She was wearing a massive coat. When she first appeared in the cabin just outside of Jackson, you literally cannot tell whether she's pregnant or not. Mel is wearing the exact same coat in the aquarium. Ellie clearly didn't know. All Abby knows is that Mel was killed. She assumes it was Tommy, since he killed Manny while trying to kill her, until she reached the movie theater, where Ellie confirms it was her that did it.

Joel and Ellie were just as bad in the first game, and that was my big complaint about it. I don't like TLOU2, but the first one isn't any better.

Ellie gets completely fucked up by her experiences or having to kill in self defence and torture for information against a ticking clock and then buff shaggy is happy as Larry after she gets her friends killed because of getting revenge on Joel, doesn't even think about them again in the epilogue. This is ignoring the fact that she audibly gets wet when she has the chance to kill a pregnant woman whos all fucked up already. And they want me to think ellie deserves to be sad in the end and lose everything? U wot m8

Say what you want but I liked Abbys parts. Nothing for her character was unbelievable.

Abby has a quick temper, and is already known for being privy to the need for revenge. More so than Ellie ever was. Because for Ellie, it was less about avenging Joel, and more about her regaining control of her life, and using Joel's murder as an excuse because she felt guilty for not forgiving him sooner. Ellie does NOT feel remorse for all the people she killed. The singular exception was Mel. But she doesn't even show it outside of the very scene in which she kills her. Again, Abby doesn't see this. She doesn't know. And doesn't care, because all she knows is that everyone at the theater was working together, and that all her friends are dead. Including Mel, who was pregnant. Doesn't take much to figure out how she connected the dots. "You both killed my friends, one of which was pregnant, and now you're begging ME not to kill YOUR pregnant friend? Fuck you." Rage makes you stupid. Revenge makes you throw out all reason for the sake of it. This is why Ellie truly won in the end, because while Abby gave in to it and allowed it to absorb her very being, Ellie regained control and let the rage, the hate, and the need for revenge, go. It's all so damn simple if you just stop focusing on the little things that trigger retards, user.
