Without the risk of losing the world, the only way to "lose" is to fail so spectacularly that it's too much of a nuisance to catch back up. Bad game design.

>falling in lava and losing all your gear
>getting lost in Nether/End and losing your home/ gear you currently have is suicide

if you die in a cave and cant find your way back you also lose your gear
I do agree the game is piss easy since you can just sleep every night and youll rarely run into mobs aside from caves

Read OP again. Falling in lava and losing gear, getting lost, or dying to the ender dragon is not "losing". You have lost items, but you haven't lost the game. What you are describing is a frustrating failure that makes the player not want to catch back up. Hardcore is the only version of minecraft where the player can actually "lose".

If you spend a lot of effort building early game and then lose, then it's your fault for not having better foresight.

Loading saves upon death would possibly be less punishing than the current system where you lose xp and possibly equipment if there's lava or something.
How is having your world deleted a loss and not just a longer setback? Just make a new one. The only way to really lose is to not be allowed to play the game again.

I don't care if people enjoy it the way it is, I just think that the game is absolutely flawed because it can't be lost. As I've stated, adding a limit to the amount of deaths you can sustain in a world would not effect most players at all. And if they really are that bad, then they can play with infinite lives on "peaceful".

Way to miss the entire point of Minecraft. Yea, you can't "lose" in Minecraft, that's the point. Just like you can't "lose" in Animal Crossing. There are penalties to dieing in Minecraft but it's not a game where the point is in "winning" so there's no need for lives. It's a sandbox, you do whatever the fuck you want while trying to stay alive. The game rewards you for staying alive by letting you keep your exp so you can enchant shit to make your experience more fun, along with not having to deal with losing your inventory, far away from spawn.
Not every Game needs lives. Lives themselves are an archaic leftover from the arcade days where they would use lives to milk kids out of there money on repeat attempts of games, as well as serving to make older console games feel longer by making you restart from the beginning everytime you run out of lives.
It's obvious you don't like the core gameplay of Minecraft. So just play something else. Trying to improve the game so that it fits your specific definition of "good game design" is autistic as fuck.
