on the list so cant be that bad vsrecommendedgames.fandom.com/wiki/PlayStation_2

Decent gameplay and great plot. It is worth your time.

My favorite jrpg combat system

It still amazes me that they made a JRPG with no background music and no boss theme.

Not him but what?

It was trash

With the exception of the final boss there's only one regular battle theme through the game

Ok but what about the no background music? You mean like outside of battles you walk around in silence?

Yes, it's just unfortunate that part 2 shits on all the momentum 1 built up, 3 is thankfully worth it though.

This was probably the one thing about the game that pissed me off

yes
haven't played 2 yet

It was fun during high school. I think I read in EGM that it was supposed to be a six part series.

One of the shittiest fucking games I've ever played.
Good fucking movie though.

Yes. There's only music for cutscenes. Otherwise, silence.

It's a bad game, but it would have worked as an anime or visual novel.

Unless you really like JRPGs and the mythos grabs you, the first one is a bit of a slog.

2nd one is an absolute horror show

but the 3rd is CRAZY good.

This scene alone is enough to make me replay it every now and then....Albedo is probably Crispin Freeman's best performance ever.

lawl at music fags. i hate music fags and thats not a lie.

Is it true that this wiki was hijacked by plebbit faggots?

Is 2 even worth a shot or should I just watch the cutscenes on youtube and skip to 3?

Yes.

Watch 2 and watch 3. Neither is worth playing.

Is there any proof that or just speculation?

I had this game, it was too fucking long. never finished it. Might have gotten halfway through. I remember not hating it though. The cutscenes were too many and too long. for my taste.

1 was pretty ehhhhh, 2 was a disaster, 3 was good but the franchise had already lost all of the good will xenogears built up by that point.

The games they recommend is proof enough.

I mean, depends on your own preferences. Im just saying that Marx had valid points, the problem isnt him since his work is pure theory, the problem is that in practice is untenable, either people get corrupted, or end up with blood on theirs hands either way. But then again, neoliberalism isnt all that great either, the only reason I choose it over everything else is that I have ways to enjoy good things more easily, and can get away of the misery of others.

It's more like it's been hijacked by people who just so happen to have reddit's taste. Take from that what you will.

Seriously, Bioshock Infinite is on there.

As one of 2 people that actually played and finished all 3, yeah it was pretty good if you're into the characters. The story is long as shit so it'll put people off looking for more action gameplay or even a FF style game.

Xenosaga 1 and 2 aren't very good games, Xenosaga 3 is a good game. Xenosaga 2's combat is one of the worst of any JRPG because it's so boring and regular encounters can last up to 30 minutes. Xenosaga's storyline as everyone knows was a 6 series planned thing that got hacked into 3 and the 3rd game was a Frankenstein's Monster of a plot due to keywriters either being forced out of the company or shuffled. I liked the focus of Xenosaga 2's plot being on Rubedo and his brothers, but I know it was almost side story tier in in the grand scheme of things.

If you go back to the Xenosaga games' writing (1 and 2), a lot of is tryhard I am 14 and this is deep kind of stuff. The only characters that kinda avoid the pitholes are the adults, while KOSMOS really doesn't have much of a personality until the 3rd game. The KOSMOS and chaos thing Episode 1 was trying to hype up didn't have a satisfactory conclusion in Episode 3 which I blame on Namco butchering the writer staff. In all I think Xenosaga has a lot of high points muddled in a sea of VERY low and cringe writing. Some of the voice acting is generally good and highly memorable, especially the villains. Music timeless in all 3 and I think 2 had the best score.

I am having heat related brain farts so I don't know where to put this in my post. I know some head honcho of MonolithSoft deeply resents the development history of the early Xenosaga because because of how the bulk of their developers were just newbies. It sounded like it was a deeply bad memory for the guy and he wants to move away from touching those earlier games, which I can understand, really bad projects would be things you wouldn't wanna touch again.

A reimagining of Xenosaga would be better than ports/remakes. I'm a fan of the Xenosaga series but don't be deluded by anyone selling you the games because it really is "dude it gets good after getting past the first 2 games roughly 60 hours into the trilogy". Watch the movies of 1 and 2 and play 3 IMO.

Bullshit....I distinctly remember Protoh Merkabah at the very least having a BGM

youtube.com/watch?v=0KSqiatqfNc&list=PL75103D71E579CE86&index=37

The lack of boss music was criminal but distinct areas DID have a BGM for them.

I mean, yeah, some dungeons had BGM, but I'm pretty sure there were whole towns and ships without any background music.

One of my favorite game trilogies. I haven't played Episode I in a while, but I bet a lot of things don't hold up all that well.
