Objectively a better game than Bayonetta
Vanquish
Don't false-flag Vanquish fans as being retards.
None of them would say something so stupid.
Bayonetta is a bad game, so...
not really comparable
>RE
>RE4
>REmake
>Vanquish
>Godhand
>Dino Crisis
>PN03
>Evil Within
name a better track record
Only Platinum game I like.
Tried Bayonetta, Transformers and MGR but they just don't click It really confounds me since I love Ninja Gaiden and God Hand so they should fit like a glove but don't.
vanquish is pretty good, yeah, but bayonetta is one of the greatest "spectacle fighters" or "character action games" or whatever the fuck they're called to ever exist.
>user it's hack and sl--
Don't say it. I don't want to hear it.
MGR dabs on both
how do i git gud in this?
Based
You take cover. Or you spam dash-roll-timestop.
The combat mechanics are horribly unpolished, if a lot of your options feel like they are useless, its because they are.
Don't melee, don't let your HP go critical or you're going to be caught in a perpetual fuckup.
As much as this game was supposed to be an anti-cover-shooter, too much of the game design rewards taking cover, and punishes being aggressive.
>Don't melee
shitter detected
>Short as fuck
>Few bosses
>Awful boring environments
>Little unlocks and replayability
The novelty of a Platinum TPS is not enough to make up for the fact that this is one of the Studio's most anemic titles.
Melee is basically like taunting. Instant overheat and timeout makes it suicide in most cases.
It's good for styling when the situation is under control. But a struggling player that needs every advantage they can get has almost no use for it.
But of course, someone who isn't a shitter can squeeze melee in when they feel like it. It can be good for high-HP high-priority targets, as long as you don't immediately die right after using it.
Did they ever explain that smoking recharges the meter? I went through the whole game not knowing that.
Shorter games>longer games.
Bayonetta drags on for too long.
Agree with you on lack of post-game stuff, but it's still infinitely replayable.
No, I'm in the middle of act 3 and only knew smoking was even a thing from the trophies
Bit annoying that I wasted all that time in cover waiting for a recharge.
And?
The heavy machine gun's melee is pretty great since you can launch enemies with it even outside of hitting distance, so you don't overheat
You're right they'd just shit straight on bayonetta with no need to compare the two. One is obvious an overrated shit trashfire and the other is Vanquish.
It's also good for safely triggering slowmo.
On a single playthrough, sure, but the game has little to offer when you get down to it. It's short, lacks unlockables or modes and has no sequel.
>Little replayability
As opposed to Platinum's other games?
You do overheat though.
Not if you're at the right distance.
Only if you do it right up close
I will forever be mad that the original vision of Vanquish had a bigger emphasis on melee combat, but that Mikami decided to change it to be more shooter focused because western TPS's were more popular at the time.
God I fucking hate the instant overheat mechanic.
Yes obviously.
Bayonetta has a ton of unlockables.
It has a medals rating system. You can work for getting all Platinum and unlock Jeanne.
The Hard mode completely changes enemy spawns.
There are loads of secret missions to find.
Find all the secret missions and you unlock the Angel Slayer lost chapter, a psuedo bloody palace.
Vanquish doesn't even have a ratings system, which not only would have offered replayability but would have also solved the game's problem with not rewarding fast and aggressive play.
>Vanquish doesn't even have a ratings system
Alright thanks for letting everyone know you've never played it.
There is no rating system in Vanquish
Repeating yourself doesn't make you right.
