I like both SMT and persona equally and enjoyed royal. I guess it also helps that I'm not one of those faggot that jack their dicks too "muh philosophy and dark themes" and can just enjoy something. Sure it has some obvious flaws but it was still fun

Sorry but P4 is the first. P5 is nothing but the same mechanics/story with trivial variations. I didn't count the previous titles since there is a major theme change from 3 to 4.

It has better graphics and presentation than other persona games, but terrible plotline and the worst, most brain dead villains.
Its a game with style, held back by a shitty plot.

I enjoyed regular P5 but even in its own series I liked P4G clearly more.

It's a huge improvement like Golden was for P4, but sixty dollars worth? That's a personal decision. I recommend getting used or on sale.

The way I see it, P5 (haven't tried P5R) was the best JRPG since 2008's Barkley Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden! It was the first time in nearly a decade where I felt good playing a JRPG. Since then FF7R was pretty great too. 99% of modern JRPGs are trash though. Occasional SMT and Dragon Quest aside, all the good shit came out in SNES/PS1/PS2 eras.

If you liked P5 you'll enjoy P5R, its a straight upgrade in every gameplay department

Golden additions are on a much smaller scale than what P5R did. P4G just added Marie's stuff that really just amounted to a new dungeon, but the stuff they do in P5R is a full blown new story arc that is setup through out the base game and ended up being one of the strongest arcs in the game.

One giant advantage P5R has, though, is it completely rebalanced the battle gameplay, something that P4G didn't really do aside from swapping around weaknesses to surprise veterans. It's much more fun than vanilla P5 I think.

Replace DQXI with the Switch version and you're solid.

I literally listed P5 and dragon quest though, also XBC2 is inferior to XBC in every way except tits.

5 and 5R are great in that regard because they are so lenient that you can play without a guide and still 100% everything

This, 5 has a bit tighter of a schedule than Royal, but there's still a lot of time to max social links and social stats in both versions.

Adachi point still fails exactly because he did almost get those kids killed, not yosuke, chie or the mc, but yukiko, naoto, rise, Kanji, at some point every single of them almost died because of the "game" Adachi managed to set up by tricking Namatame, forget about "muh real world issues", if someone almost got me killed for his own amusement, that person is getting a beating.

Even then, the real reason Adachi point still fails, its exactly because he himself was a "chosen one", a goddess gave him the power to become one of the richest, most powerful guys in the world, but he did nothing with that power, he wanted all the rewards without taking any risks himself, but things just dont work like that, even the most talented guy in the world will have no success if he is never willing to take any risks.

I never played it or even looked into it because I was disgusted they released the 1.0 version for max price and not even a discounted option for previous owners. it’s not like P4G where it’s also a direct upgrade and a port, it’s the finished game, when the same game exists on the same platform

I loved but P2 and 3 and still my favorite, end was too happy and last boss was a joke.

If you play semi smart you won't need to be optimal. I missed a solid 25% of classroom questions and still 100%'d the confidants + Billards/darts + technical book combos + take every teammate to the jazz club + do every type of activity like baseball or post max rank hangouts
