Still tons of people playing it

>still tons of people playing it
>they all having fun

face it Zig Forums, your Smear campaign failed.

I knew the game would be a hit, it's the sequel to a title beloved by many. Do I like it, no. I've already seen it, and really prefer not to see it anymore.

14k views come from Angry Joe who's trying to marathon the game, and he hates the game.

>People enjoy eating shit, that mean its not shit

30k on twitch isn't much for a game that was hyped like this one

When will you realize that the true aim for shitposting on Zig Forums, is to influence the hive mind on Zig Forums itself?
Because at the end of the day it doesn't matter what the rest of the internet thinks about anything, since most people on Zig Forums, STAY on Zig Forums their entire lives, and are rejected anywhere else.
So it only makes logical sense that the only place that's important to influence and keep under control is Zig Forums itself.

yeah, I'm sure 70 thousand people on Zig Forums all bothered to leave a negative review on Metacritic

Its a fair number for a single player story game that you can finish in 2 days

The smear campaign worked but it had nothing to do with Zig Forums. The original leaker did it all. All he did was show the truth before people could spend their money. That's all it takes. Marketing only works on an uninformed customer base.

you mean like every other Social media ever?

Almost half of those viewers are watching AngryJoe trash the game. Theyre all half/mostly drunk, fucking around near the end, and hysterically laughing on how bored they are.

not really when nearly half are from one popular streamer and the rest are from dozens of sub-100-viewers streams

It's not ment to be fun so they are enjoying it wrong

>30k watching
No those are not good numbers for such a big game actually.

It should be 100k watching

Gears 5 and RE2 had better numbers

30.8k is actually a bad number. Its way to low for a new game.

Day one they had 300k

Joe and the others are also terrible at the game, not that its an excuse for anything but its hard to watch.

>since most people on Zig Forums, STAY on Zig Forums their entire lives
>entire lives
killing yourself doesn't count as being on here your entire life, so I don't think you should count the transsexuals

To play devil's advocate, a lot of people are doing a Twitch Blackout today protesting something or another which is possibly effecting the total viewer number if that picture is from just today since a fair amount just aren't streaming.

This game took 7 years to develop and cost at least a hundred million. It's not going to break even and people are going to stop talking about and caring about it after the first week or so. Sales will also plummet. All this game will be remembered for are the mountains of memes it spawned made from people mocking how shitty it is.

>All this game will be remembered for are the mountains of memes it spawned made from people mocking how shitty it is.
When Pewdiepie finally finishes the game I hope he'll review all the memes, get them out to the masses

>Still tons
>less than 10% of the people it had on the first day.

One Brazilian hacker vs a billion dollar international company

>Joe and the others are also terrible at the game
To be fair, they don't seem to care about it. Last time I checked, Joe was trying to look for some kind of sauce and wasn't paying attentionbto the game. At this point, they're forcing themselves to finish it. Aris had the best stream though even if he also hated the game

You. Stop having fun right now, that's not the intent of the game, we don't use the word fun.

>a hundred million.
Where did this meme come from? Every other game gets claimed to cost a hundred million when if it did that would make it a top ten world record holder for expensive video games including marketing. #1 is ~$280million including marketing. Do people just have no clue how much video games cost?
This probably cost around 50-70 million to make at most.

FF7 took 80 million to make, 23 years ago. You have no clue how much video games cost; especially AAA movie games with nothing but mocapped cutscenes.

This shit is what upsets me the most. It's like if you buy the game to make people explode, shoot zombie women and kill abby on purpose you are not playing it HIS way which is THE ONLY way you should play HIS game according to him.

Normalfaggots seem to be special kind of retards. You can't keep playing the game and say that you hate it. You don't even understand meaning of the word "hate". If you truly hate something it doesn't make you want to keep enduring it because you spent money, instead you would be trying to refund the game or make a rant about it online.
Anyone who bought this game has to be mentally ill and is trying to justify their shitty purchase by banding together with the same minded idiotic individuals.

Yes. And it is literally the 6th most expensive video game ever made.
You have no idea how much video games cost if you think the average game equals the top five of all time.

In fact the opinions here aren't relevant and companies that spend money on viral marketing see this place as any site where there is a relatively large user base and it is worth paying some fucked up Indians to pretend that a game it's good.
Usually threads like this one are epic raids made by edgy teenagers.
There is also the fact that companies experiment on social media to test how far they can affect public opinion and create, for example, a positive image of a product, a political party, a nation, a NGO or even try to increase unrest in a rival nation. But probably nobody uses Zig Forums to test this kind of thing when there are places like Facebook and Twitter...

And yet gamers still bought this game because they're shameless. There were those who purposefully avoided the leaks, fell for Sony's marketing, and were left disappointed by the game. There were also those who saw the leaks, still bought the fucking game, and were left disappointed by it. Granted, the leaks did enough damage to TLOU2 that it'll never be a financial success to the extent of Animal Crossing, but it'll still break even. It doesn't send a message to the industry because gamers keep buying these games.
As a result, nothing will ever change, gamers will still fall for the next AAA marketing campaign and journos will still push for the death of gameplay in favor of narrative (pic related.) This reminds me of the DmC fiasco in which the journos shilled for that game because it pushed for some shit "Shakespearean" storytelling. Much like the TLOU2 fiasco, there's a big disconnect between journos and the actual consumers of the product. Why are journalists so hellbent on shilling pretentious AAA trash and writing smear articles about gamers who don't agree with their bullshit? Why do some gamers buy games like DmC and TLOU2 having known that they're a slap in the face? It's all so tiresome.

This is not an average game. It's the long awaited sequel to a console seller that is simultaneously a AAA movie game made flesh and the product of insanely bloated production costs from sheer hubris and false promises.
