Reuben was okay in 3, but he just sucks in 4, and to a lesser extent 5. I don't think he's a terrible voice actor, but they stopped writing Dante with any seriousness and just made him a total goofball. On top of this, Dante's supposed to be even older in 4 and 5, but he sounds younger than he does in 3.

DMC2 Dante is literally like any other fucking generic silent mysterious cool guy. The whole point of Dante is that he doesnt follow the stereotype. And you want to take that away?
Go read the 3142 art book, it has tons of accounts of how the DMC team constantly tried to make Dante more dark and edgy. And Kamiya was just like "Nah he should be a fun loving dude stop trying to make him so serious".
