Arkbird mk.II was boring as fuck and we needed a super weapon aside from "holy fuck bro, super drones isn't that crazy?"

The game should have stuck with the prisoner pilot plot theme, these cowboy misfits finally coming together as a unified squadron and taking down the enemy. You know damn well this part of the game at 10:15 rivals the Daredevil finale as ultimate kino.

-dull tech tree, not much choice, everything is overpriced, obviously not made to coincide with a playthrough
-0 replay value, everything, down to the last enemy, plays out in the exact same way every time
-overly scripted missions that don't allow experimentation, ironically stifling freedom in a flight game...
-timers balanced around afterburner as if that's normal
-characters being intentionally vague, as if the game is too shy to show a real interaction between anyone
