Thank you, I was trying to make one a day for a while, but now that I'm making slightly bigger projects, thats a bit of a stretch.

really digging that tail whip

the yellow part is both the hitbox for enemies, and refreshes your jump when it touches a platform or climbable object like vines.

the plant pot enemies are very annoying, i like them

This is probably the last one worth posting. Its based on playing a druid in WoW. Its got 5 combat styles, but only a few gear sprites.

yeah graphics have never been my strong suit.
They regenerate, and when they fully heal they go back to sleep. If you barely woke one up, sometimes its better just to back out.

one a day sounds like a fun time. do you have a list of ideas or do you just wing it?

Usually I look at a game, and try to steal the core mechanic. I don't play a very wide variety of games, so the hard part is even knowing what to look for. Once I get a mechanic, I can make a few projects out of it. Right now I was thinking of making a grappling hook platformer, or possibly boxchess.

Boxchess being a game of my own design, based on chess but with altered topology, and 4 9x9 boards. Each side has 27 units, and there is 1 extra type of unit which stands on the opposite side of the king from the queen and can either move/capture in 2 spaces in any straight line, or flip to the mirror position on the opposing board but not capture while doing so. Also, pawns can move 3 on their first turn.

actually this one isn't bad either, it was the first one I put on the site, so its the front page.

these were all pretty neat, good luck on your future games.

Thank you for trying them

I gave a lot of your games a shot.
Just wondering, are you a teacher or something? Some of the games just seem to be you trying to show something or making it easy to understand certain properties better.

nah, I'm not a teacher, just a coincidence.

a rhythm game like OSU would be a good single day's practice. find a royalty free song and make a one song map using the various key types (hold, tap, roll etc). input latency and timed stuff has crossover with most other genres so it's worthwhile.

Sure, I'll add it to the short list.

I hate it
