The show did have quite a few episodes where the cops were debatlbly the bad guys. SVU especially has the cops acting like thugs a large part of the time. Heck I recall a somewhat early episode where a guy gets metooed and despite being found innocent he remarks his life is basically over as no school is gonna rehire him after that and everyone thinks of him as a pedophile. My view on it has been that 90% of cops are alright but 10% are bad. The issue is the badge and uniform makes them untouchable. I think in the last 20 years less then 100 cops have been charged with murder. I find that number hard to belive. I do wonder what a more logical solution would be. I also do see it from the cops side a bit. The fact is a person can pull a gun on you and shoot in less than a second so alot of those cops shoot unarmed man vids are a bit disingenuous.
