Bioshock Infinite

Other than the somewhat boring gameplay and non-puzzles, why didn't we enjoy this? I have yet to see any reasoning behind why the story is "shit".

Shit story
Shit gameplay
Shit powers
Shit worldbuilding
Shit environment
Shit characters
Shit atmosphere
Shit villain

Again, you say it's shit but fail to tell me why it's shit. It's simply not an argument.

>other than these reasons the game is bad, why do you think it's bad?

peak brainlet

>other than bad gameplay, why is the game bad?
OP is a faggot

The gameplay isn't straight up bad, just linear and somewhat repetitive, and the easy puzzles don't ruin the game. Again, you fail to give me an actual argument here.

Why was this game called Bioshock? Bio means water, yet this game takes place in the sky. They should've called it Skyshock

The twist is bad, the story is convoluted and tries to be a "both sides" bullshit and the game is repetitive. It tried to say a lot of interesting things and I would defend the art direction as really good, but its too obvious that Ken Levine keep it changing things until the last minute and the game suffered a lot from it.

Whats your argument for game being good? You made none beside "its not the worst game".

>Other than the somewhat boring gameplay and non-puzzles
What do you mean other than? That's it. That's what a game is.

>we
Go back.

its a generic shooter held up by its location

Bio actually comes from "biomechanical" and nicle is supposed to come from chronicle, so it's a biomechanical chronicle, hence the name

gameplay is CoD, story is shit and doesn't work with its internal rules, the graphics were terrible (yes even for the time you zoomers)

Honestly bioshock infinite is my favorite game.I understand the puzzle part (it is not a puzzle game, the first part from the first part makes this very clear in a funny way i think) but why people thinks it is boring?

The thing i dont like about it is that they limited the guns to two and got rid of speical ammo entirely going around the city dosent feel as good as going around rapture in bioshock 2 and honestly the only thing i liked about it were Elizabeth's tits and the dlc where you visit rapture

I only played it for the music. The visuals were subpar. I wish we got the original envisioning that it was supposed to be.

Really nice setting, fun powers, cool enemy designs, interesting story.

>even for the time
Oh god, this might have been the first game some people here ever played
I want off this ride

>why didn't we enjoy this?

>wait a minute that card
>choices dont matter
>2deep4me pretenious story
Could be worse but it was disappointing as Bioshock fan.

t. Levine, enjoy making shit telltale-tier games with shit writing while a superior company handles bioshock 4 for you.

Infinite universes M-morty. Never go full dimension-tard. You ruin the possibility of character choices having any impact because "why didn't deus ex machina do x?" now taints every tiny decision point and story development. It's a surefire way to end up with a soulless story. Actions have consequences and infinite outcomes mean zero consequences.

I don't know about that, but I feel like I need to say that as soon as a game is over 4 years old or else there will inevitably be one guy who pretends it has just aged.

fpbp

Love the looks of these guys. I was really disappointed when I found out they was limited to one area, and they were far from as creepy as they were first made to be

plus 2 weapon limit
and garbage level design

Actually Infinite had a way around infinite universes with "constants".
They rules that "there's always a lighthouse" so that every choice somehow doesn't split into the opposite choice.
This was done solely to make Booker's sacrifice actually matter.

But it still doesn't fucking work because something as uncontrollable as a person's gender can be variable.
So in actuality, while they thought they were writing themselves out of a trap, they wrote themselves into an even worse trap that just proves further how contrived the entire plot is.

I don't understand why people dislike it myself. I think it's a really cool game, with a solid setting and some nice story.

>You ruin the possibility of character choices
brainlet. the entire ending is about the choices you did being meaningless. the player's playthrough is just one of the infinite posibilities

Shits all over the mythology set in the first game and then the company that made it went out of business.

Only Zig Forums hates it

I enjoyed it.

>g-gotta protect da booby lady so i can coom
>oh fug shes my daughterfu and im santa irl!?!
>gotta kill santa and then kill myself too
>thanks for killing me many daughterfus i will be cooming in heaven soon...

>Bio means water
Americans

Some things are constant, some are not. That is how bioshock infinite universe works.

>ruin the possibility of character choices having any impact
>entire ending is about the choices you did being meaningless
>I-IT'S FUCKING RETARDED ON PURPOSE
Ummmm fucking idiot alert

I enjoyed it but forgot everything about it

It's pretentious. Entirely predicated on a Mary-Sue.

The game would have been much better had it made the main character Columbia, as the original did with Rapture, Elizabeth could have instead been a wunderkind of sorts in regards to vigors, the Lutece's former scientists getting you to obtain her from the city, their motives morality up for you to decide.

Instead it's about multiple realities, ghosts, and two dead people essentially becoming gods, why? Why not just tell a story about American exceptionalism, racial attitudes, and the arguable missteps of those who seek to oppose it?

My brother and I used to have this stupid joke where we'd shout out spoilers like "did you get to the part where YOU are actually revealed as *insert villain name*?!" then this game actually did that...

Even worse, Levine had to go and fuck up the original Rapture story forcing this character in there. All multiple realities do is make the one you are playing in feel like it doesn't actually matter.

how the universe works is pivotal to all parts of the narrative and it has no logic behind it.
For the same reason the protagonist succeeding based on luck is considered bad writing, the laws of a universe being artitrarily selected to match what you want is also bad writing.
Unless you can define why something is constant and why something isn't, it's a cop out and defeats the whole story.

>we need to kill booker so he doesn't become cumstock
>we forgot about female booker becoming female cumstock
>we forgot about every realities where someone else become cumstock or at least someone like him
>we forgot about the realities where elisabeth is worse than cumstock and makes the city even more shitty
>oh and we forgot that there's literally infinite of these realities, hence the name of the game, so trying to fix it doesn't do shit

>the books I read are meaningless because as a reader I don't have any choices!
ummm riiiight

It is just a story you play in. Your role is meaningless in the grand story.

>let's take a game with a focus on the versatility of your weaponry as well as well thoughtout themed areas with vast amounts of lore and interconnectivity
>and fucking shit all over it and make it a generic linear shooter
Absolutely amazing ideas.

N-NO T-THEY SAID THERES A LIGHTHOUSE THIS ISN'T A PROBLEM IT JUST FIXES IT JUST LOOK AT THE LIGHTHOUSES ITS NOT BROKEN BECAUSE LEVINE SAID IT'S NOT
