>play as Abby for 4-5 hours >learn to like her for who she is >no hint at what she is hunting for >get to know the gang >first into to Joel is him saving her >big twist when she kills him >reveal why she wants revenge >first time seeing Ellie in game is when she comes in and witnesses Joel's death >get conflicted a bit over who is right or wrong >THEN you play as Ellie hunting her down
There I fixed the fucking pacing of this game. If you wanted to go full Kojima, play as Abby for 10 hours, all the ads had NONE WHATSOEVER Joel or Ellie and the game is treated as an anthology.
this is one of those games with zero gameplay for like the first hour. it was all cutscenes and walking around that town and as soon as you hear you are gonna go out to hunt some mushroom zombies, it cuts to abby.

Irregardless of what people say the story is fundamentally bad, re-editing it won't make it automatically good. But it will make it better
Ryder Ward
I'm going to say it, Abby had better skill trees for killing than Ellie.
Leo Myers
Irregardless?
Nolan Gutierrez
No she didn’t, she had better bombs tho
Lincoln Ortiz
Did you not like the quick shivs or the takedowns? She was specialized for combat while Ellie was more of a learned survivalist.
Cut out the extra work and just give Abby some massive honkers. A real set of badonkers.

what the fuck are there people on Zig Forums who actually spent money on this and played it?

How the hell do these zombie outbreaks last so long in zombie stories? I'm not just talking about TLOU, I'm talking about zombie outbreak stories in general.
Zombies are rotting corpses that slowly decompose over time (like any corpse), so if in TLOU2 communities are already establishing and gating themselves, shouldn't the zombies be dwindling over time automatically on account of them not having anything to eat (and, if they do find a person to eat, they still go on rotting anyway)?
I feel like once multiple communities in zombie stories start to establish gated self-sufficient communities, then it's just a matter of waiting out for the zombies to all rot for things to begin going back to normal again.
The shiv tree was ok, the one I found terrible was the incendiary shotgun shells one. At least Ellie’s shit tree (smoke bombs one) had better heals in there.

Character regression of previous protagonists, unusual character designs considering the setting, poor layout of narrative with arguably the dramatic climax near the beginning of the game without introducing key character backgrounds and motivations, a lack of narrative choices ( the first game also had this problem) and gameplay that has way to much travelling... it drags out like a sandbox but the maps are relatively linear, it's just time consuming at the start of the game. The graphics were good though, and the gameplay has definitely been polished.... its just too bad people play this foe the story... because it sucked, and has earned a spot in the rankings of other controvercial and devicive sequels like GOT season 8 and star wars ep 8

This is what bothers me about most zombie media. Even if it's explained that something about the zombie virus/mutation preserves the flesh longer, it's still lacking the metabolic resources to continue to preserve itself. In other words zombies should be literally falling apart or the virus in them should be dying off within a few months tops since the host is no longer suitable.

At least in the game’s universe, the bodies are being kept alive by fungus, so they’re not really decomposing. It’s not like Walking Dead where dead people come back if you don’t shoot them in the head. Though I don’t know how they gain nutrients unless they’re so far along in the fungus conversion process that they do so the same way fungus does, and I don’t know enough about fungus to know how that works.

If you give 2 shits about the pacing, then CUT out the asian kids altogether from the story. The unnecessary detours to the hospital and then to the island served No purpose to the revenge plot whatsover. The story could have ended better in the aquarium. Shortly after ellie killed abby's friends (owen & mel), abby walks in and then gets pissed at her. The final boss fight starts then and there.
But no, abby had to waste time in doing that tranny kid's long sidequest. All it did was artificially pad out the game's length by postponing the ellie/abby fight to the movie theater, and then it got postponed again to that detour to california. All this shit could have ended sooner at the aquarium instead of getting dragged out.
Chase Ward
Plus if there’s no Asian kids then Tommy kills Abby easily and all is right with the world.
Jayden Sanders
in TLOU the zombies get stronger over time. and it's a fungus

Just so you know, “controversial” and “divisive” is how you spell those words. Good post otherwise though
I'll admit, that would be cool. But instead of got Druckman's torture and misery porn

You didn't fix anything. You just cannot get over Joel's death and/or are unwilling to see things from other people's perspective.
>get conflicted a bit over who is right or wrong
You can feel conflict even with the way the game is structured, it just requires you to not be stuck-up with the idea that your beliefs are infallible. The entire conflict between Wolves and Scars is based on their inability to reconcile, live with each other, shouldn't this clue you in?
David Hughes
The game was great except it didn't have some sort of CHOOSE YOUR FIGHTER option at the end
That doesn't make any sense, where is it getting all this energy for these changes as well as maintaining the basic metabolic processes of a living organism. It's a parasite so logically the host will run out of sustenance to sustain it at one point.
