Why do i sometimes get the feeling im the only person on Zig Forums who loves this game?
Why are people calling it a tech demo?
It was a full fledged game with a lot of effort put into it.
It even has lore, an actual book explaining the entire story in cool little details, and it all makes sense.
And the music, god damn, dont even get me started on the music, it makes me hard to this day.

Now that's just nostalgia goggles taking. Quake 2's super shotgun is thoroughly average. Even Doom 2's SSG feels more powerful and satisfying to use than Q2's. Let me list all the shotguns I can think of off the top of my head that are better than the Quake 2 SSG:
>Doom 2016 SSG
>Unreal Tournament Flak Cannon
>Postal 2 double barrel (though to be fair, that one is broken, and is the only really good gun in the game)
>Every shotgun in Killing Floor (RIP)
>Pump shotgun from Blacklight: Retribution (also RIP)
