What was the last game you played that made you feel comfy?
What was the last game you played that made you feel comfy?
Lego City Undercover
Bug Fables
which game is this?
OHMYGODISTHATFIREWATCHSOBASED
Firewatch
>which game is this?
Firewatch. It is really good.
Persona 5. If I can kick my feet up and feel inclined to get snacks while playing its already top tier comfy.
Also fuck this game for blue balling you so hard at the end
dishonored 2
Jesus this board is just getting fucking worse and worse.
No.
Firewatch is not good. The fuck is happening to this place?
It's a good game. You're just a triggered cripplechan refugee.
Firewatch is shit, fuck off.
The art direction is great and the writing is funny. Seethe more faggot.
Yeah it's kinda upsetting how people are abandoning the hi/v/emind and thinking for themselves lately.
It's not even a game.
>Firewatch is not good.
Describe why it is a bad visual novel.
what makes it bad?
Streets of Rage 4.
well, the final is dog shit, but everything else is pretty good desu
It's bad according to these people because there is no cartoonish conspiracy after all and he (as a standin for the gamer) does not get rewarded with sex.
Outer Wilds
play it niggers
Silent Hill
TLOU2
I heard it is sjw bullshit with annoying devs. Is that true? Are there any other reasons to hate it?
I've not played it in a long time so I forget what the conspiracy stuff was, I just remember that the kid was fucking DEAD. The only time I've seen Firewatch brought up is in HL Alyx threads calling it 'tranny shit' and I don't remember anything like that in the game at all.
Outer Wilds is nice but stops being comfy when you need to start doing tasks that require beating the time limit.
>mfw the fucking sand planet
league of legends
>funny
dear oh dear I hope for your sake that you are 16 at the oldest
yeah they dmca'd pewdiepie's playthrough because he said the n word in another game
The one I'm playing now
The whole point of the game is paranoia though. Henry’s paranoia about his wife causes him to cook up a crazy story.
It's barely a game to begin with, and it's basically the definition of videogame narrative been done wrong on just about every fucking level. Where the fuck do you pleb even crawl in from?
The art direction is good. Literally EVERYTHING else is fucking awful, including the writing.
>people are abandoning the hi/v/emind and thinking for themselves lately.
Reddit garbage sucking the cocks of the worst trashware is not "thinking for themselves". You have shit taste, you don't know anything about videogames, and you are not welcomed here.
It's far easier to describe what is NOT wrong with it:
Art direction. It's good. Everything else is fuck-awful.
The gameplay is non-existent. There literally is none. In a game that is in great part about exploring wild nature, this is fucking unforgivable. We have had games like Miasmata that turned simple act of traversing wildreness into an engaging mechanic, we had endless list of survival games that has got natural navigation and landscaping perfectly, we had games like Pathologic 1/2 which has managed to create a gameplay around natural flow of time:
This game does NONE of these things. It's literally a collection of claustrophobic narrow hallways dressed up like pretty landscape, where you are lead by the nose in a strictly linear fashion. Even without the player map icon it is literally impossible to get yourself lost, to feel like you are exploring anything because all "exploration" is literally a collectible never more than 10 meters away from the ONLY path you are supposed to take.
There are so, SO many options and examples of games that took the same premise and made it actually engaging: But Firewatch is BRAINDEAD.
The story is garbage too. It shits the bet literally before the game even starts, with the backstory that immediately divorces player from the character, and then never finds a way to re-align them properly.

24 actually :^)
>(cont.)
I'd rather you didn't.
Ah yes, the two hour game with the misleading trailer, I'm still mad about buying this and not getting a refund because it took me slightly longer than 2 hours to finish it, even with exploring everything
But the PS4 theme is nice
>done wrong
>Valve bought the whole team and hired them
Yeah I'm sure their award winning innovative game that got them hired by the most profitable developers on the planet is crying at their apparent unsuccessfulness according to you.
>pathologic
>good
>The gameplay is non-existent.
That's why I called it a visual novel you ape brain. I know it's not a good 'game' for gameplay.
How is SH comfy?
why are you so angry? jesus lol
And here we have a prime example of someone who has literally nothing to live for other than videogames.
How sad.
Gothic was my first game that felt really immersive.
>I heard it is sjw bullshit with annoying devs.
It's not SJW in the slightest, and I don't know or care about the devs. It's just plain awful game with awful writing, but there is nothing political in it what so ever.
The plot itself is trite and vapid, and straight up makes ZERO sense. The motivation of the main "antagonist" COMPLETELY falls apart the second you give it a closer look.
There is nothing INHERENTLY wrong with bait-and-switch stories, or purely psychological and character driven drama, but this game is A TEXTBOOK ON HOW TO NOT DO IT. The main flaw can be summed up as such:
If you are doing bait and switch, make fucking sure whatever you bait with isn't far more interesting than the switch. The story you are eventually told is fucking awful, and not worth telling to begin with.
The writing, which many people praise, is also not good: people praise it for the same reason why they praise TLOU1/2 for having a great story: It resembles TV production, which is literally the only standard to which they hold it up to.
The dialogue is so cringeworthy to anyone who is not completely used to that trademark "Gilmore girls" hyper-snapyness and smart-assery. Every line is an instant "witty" and "sacrastic" retort of some sort delivered smug intonation, and it fucking hurts to listen to after a while. Even worse yet, it pairs AWFULLY with the supposedly "realistic, psychological drama" the story actually aims for - it's literally the worst fucking fit they could have chosen.
It's a mess, and there is no good idea in it. It's another example of "storygame" made by people who were too much of hacks to make it on american TV, and figured out gaming industry is just a lower-standards alternative.
Vanillaware games in general I guess.
They are just soothing.
great game, underwhelming ending. Still worth playing though.
probably horace.
great game
Onomichi was a really cozy town in yakuza 6
get a load of this guy
>And here we have a prime example of someone who has literally nothing to live for other than videogames.
First of all: You are trying to belittle someone for caring about videogames on Zig Forums - a fucking videogame discussion board?
Where DID you come from?
What did you think this place is for?
And why the fuck are you here if you find the idea of discussing videogames strange?
Second of all: it's precisely the fact that I have interests in fiction outside of videogames that allows me to see how much tash this thing is.
It's not a VN, and it's not good for any other quality either.
>Every line is an instant "witty" and "sacrastic" retort of some sort delivered smug intonation, and it fucking hurts to listen to after a while.
This. I don't understand why people love this style of writing. It's unbearable.
They have spend far more time watching american cheap TV drama than talking to real people. That is why.
Snowrunner. Absolutely comfy to cruise a big rig across michigan
it felt comfy wondering the streets in the fog
Kingdom Come: Deliverance
Before that, Pathfinder Kingmaker.
Not been able to play much games since then.
The Forest
>Tfw you have a rest in your cabin
