Desperados Thread

>Demo level. Home. edition
Daily Desperados 3 thread. You can also talk about other RTT "stealth" games.

>Where are you right now?
>What is your favorite level?
>Fuck Longcoats and fuck Frank

D1 really had genius level designs.

The final level of D3 is probably my favorite, unlike the final level of ST which was a hassle

Play Robin Hood.

I would like to try, but how much of a hassle is the swordfighting mechanic and the economic system?

Swordfighting is very intuitive if you just spend 10 minutes training on the NPC guards in tutorial level.
Economy isn't a hassle at all until at oncre point in the game (by design) you're forced to get an outrageous sum of money which forces you to just grind random convoys until you get the cash (I said fuck it and just cheated the cash needed back then when I realized I'd need to redo the convoy like 20 times).

>grinding
no thanks, I am allergic to that shit

Downloaded the Partisans 1941 demo, what am I in for?

nobody knows. I saw some pictures and videos and imo it looks like shit. I really wish devs would go back to single perspective prerendered backgrounds.

Did you even read what I said? There is 0 grind until the game decides to pad out the playtime by locking out the endgame behind a big ransom you have to pay. Just do the sane thing and use cheat for cash, which just so happens to give you EXACTLY the amount needed for ransom.
I don't know why you want to ignore a perfectly good game just because of one completely (and easily) fixable issue.

>there is no grinding, except when there is
user, please. Having to cheat because of shitty design is a major flaw.

>I'm too fucking retarded to understand context and will completely ignore the fact there is only a single instance of grind that's literally skippable with 5 seconds of typing in money cheat
Wanna know how I know you're an Amerimutt?

I'm new to RTT genre so I guess I haven't played any of the classic games, but I think I'd take camera control over pretty graphics. It does look pretty ugly compared to some older games I've seen though

Desperados 2 and it's expansion Helldorado may be what you want, provided you set difficulty in options to Desperado (game has two modes, Easy and Desperado, Easy is default and is EXTREMELY dumbed down) it's basically Desperados 1 with QoL and camera control.

I've heard bad things so I'm not playing Desperados 2. The next RTT game I'm gonna try is either Partisans or Commandos 2 when I get around to it

I wish they did the graphics in this same way. The modern 3D games just don't look as detailed.

>I've heard bad things
You heard literal memes from people that never even played it or were too stupid to realize the game is defaulted to Easy because starting new game never asks you about difficulty, it's hidden deep behind two submenus in options. Setting it to Desperado gives you Desperados 1-tier gameplay.

Also
>someone told me it's shit so without even doing any research or checking myself I'll parrot the same opinion because I'm an NPC
The absolute fucking state of zoomers.

>above Toy Story tier CGI prerendered backgrounds with raytracing and all that jazz
>modern game with real time visuals doesn't look as good as that
Wow what a shocker

Oh you told me it's good so now I have to play it! Your opinion is much more important!

You said there is no grind.
There is grind.
You are wrong.
Period.

t. not amerifat

>You said there is no grind.
Congratulations, you are illiterate and with ADHD to boot.
I literally said it has no grind with 1 (one) exception which can be fixed with 5 second.
You then proceed to shitpost like a little bitch and ignore the game because taking 5 seconds to type a single console command once you reach the game's only main-story-based grindpoint is apparently too hard for a zoomie like you.
I genuinely fucking depise Shadow Tactics and Desperados 3 because it brought underage zoomer ADHD monkeys like you into the genre that want instant gratification, explosions and dumbed down everything since everything is fucking too hard for you.
It's a fucking wonder you remember how to breathe.

>there is no grind
>except this one exception here
So, there IS grind.

Just finished Desperados 3. Decided to go back to Shadow Tactics since I never played past level 5.

On level 3 decided to see if I can steal paper from the official with Yuki before letting Mugen in or even picking up the key. Ended up actually pulling it off by baiting his escort samurai with the corpse, running around him, quickly pick pocketing and bolting into a bush. Got no badge for that but it was probably my proudest moment in all my 20 years of gaming.

Take this last (You) and fucking kill yourself with it.

He's fucking with you retard

>Commandos 2
Make sure it's NOT the remaster, it's censored to shit and also glitchy.

They also straight up removed gameplay mechancis from it

Didn't know that, what did they remove?

Desperados 2 sucks, don't listen to this mook

>Desperados 2 sucks
Why?

You sound mad, why are you so mad?

>try baron challenge where you can only kill by shooting
>game mentions killing guards, even reinforcements count
>never mentions civilians
>kill all guards
>76/80
>all that's left is civilians
>hid one of them unconscious in a building
>can't get him out
>forever stuck at 79/80
>about 2 hours wasted

I never really play RTS games but after seeing people say D3 is their GOTY I bit the bullet & holy fuck I just finished Hector's level and & I'm having a blast.
I found the doctor in the town but he won't speak to me :(
