I beat Binding Blade yesterday and damn, I really liked the game. I miss Fire Emblem games with very little text. Plot and characters have always been terrible in all FE, so the less we get, the better in my opinion. I wish the next entry completely ditches the support system and instead gives us much better maps.

while i disagree with what you say for the most part, i will agree, because SD is one of my favorite entry's in the franchise, that more text isn't always better, with the game i'm talking about having a pretty solid story despite being told on an NES limitations, which has produced characters of archtypes that have only gained more depth over the years as they are introduced into other media and games, and in some cases like Camus, way better written than current day characters and games.
I'll forever Lament that even if these days are alot better than they were in several regards, even having some of my favorite characters too, that i'll always miss Kaga's writing and mindset when it came to the franchise, even if having a guide for his games would be a semi requirement to get everything.

Their reception is mixed overall, but there's something for everyone. Very rarely do you see someone hate every 3DS game. If you want my suggestion, get Conquest and Shadows of Valentia. CQ, is very much a game focused on gameplay, mechanics, and maps, as its story and characters are frankly atrocious. SoV on the other hand is more focused on Presentation, Voice acting abd art, Story, and characters while its gameplay is more mixed. Either/or should have something you enjoy.

If you guys are at all curious, there's an open source porn game where you play Strip Poker with various fictional characters. The game is called Strip Poker Night at the Inventory, SPNATI for short, and it features a bunch of Fire Emblem characters. It includes Lyn, Florina, Rinkah, Shamir, L'Archael, Catria, Tharja, and female Corrin along with Anna, Lucina, and Bernadetta in the 'beta test' table.
