Btw if you decide to play it on PC now, get the UPlay version. It's DRM-free and has native support for controllers. You still need to fiddle with the settings, but it's better than the other ones.

Oh, I forgot. The archive.org is a preinstalled archive of the game, so it lacks the registry values you need to be able to change settings.

Here's what you need to do. First pirate the GOG version, observe the registry values it writes, export them and save them. Uninstall the GOG version, get the UPlay one, reimport the registry and you're good to go.
