>What's up with imperialism on videogames and people cocksucking that ideology?
A country invading another, killing thousands, creating war and bringing death on to innocent people, when usually that can be avoided.
For example, I saw that in fire emblem with black eagles, league of legends with Noxus...
And people defending them saying that the invaded country should surrender if they don't want to be tortured and die, WTF.
It's like if now a game about Napoleon is released, and people start bootlicking him, making fanart of him, and praising him, while ignoring all the death he caused, and the narrative doesn't even acknowledge that in a good manner.
Gotta be honest, it worries me a little that people praises the genocide of others without more thought into it.
(I don't now if the exact term is imperialism, is just an example, I just wanted to put it into words).
Imperialism is not really an ideology. It's simply the Chad's way. Strong fucks weak. The law of the jungle but amplified. It's natural for males to like it this dynamic

>fantasy world map is just a modified map of europe fucking hate this shit, fuck tolkien for starting this shit
Wyatt Reyes
Because it’s a video game and it’s fun because real people aren’t being hurt irl.
Nolan King
People have been brainwashed with an unnatural morality with no real basis in reality. Without pressure from society this morality crumbles instantly.
In videogames there's no such pressure because the actions being done aren't real, so people don't have to worry about the fake morality that they were brainwashed with.
That's why no one cares about hundreds of different atrocities being done in video games, because their fake morality can just be ignored it and they don't think twice about it
Take some real morality that exists naturally: self preservation and protecting your own people. In video games you always want to protect, your possessions, your companions, and your own character. When you can't do that you feel bad, but you don't feel bad when you murder hundreds

picked a bad time to get lost, milk-drinker.
Samuel Moore
Can't tell if this is bait, or if you're being serious. It's a game, lighten up.
Robert Smith
I don't think you got what I said. The Strong subjugating the weak is as natural as breathing, and humans naturally enjoy that even if the modern man tries to pretend that's not true I didn't say anything against cooperation/communication/civilization
Noah Thompson
He's upset about people's take on the games, not the games. It's been proven millennials and gen Z have diminished empathy.
Jordan Cooper
sound like a Sith. Subjugation isn't natural, it was mandated by muh bible
Daniel Cox
>muh human nature If you can't overcome your lizard brain behavior, you're just a huge faggot loser.
Samuel Reyes
Elves need to be ruled over or else you get retarded shit like the Thalmor
It can be fun to play the agressor in conquest in a video game. And if your worry is morals, you shouldn't worry too much about it. Most people who defend Edelgard have issues and truly believe they're some sort of all according to keikaku macchiavelian masterminds with ultimate understandings of the working of power in states.
Besides, people latching to charismatic leaders and wanting violent change is just their frustration speaking. None of these people would actually want to go to war under these leaders and die in a shit-stained ditch.

human nature is very empathetic. This guy is just scared. Fear is a helluva drug.
Alexander Johnson
Sorta, huamans are empathetic but very selectively. Let a city go 3 days without electricity and see how empathetic people are towards strangers

No matter what anyone on social media tells you, for most of human history we haven't been a friendly, cooperating, happy species. We've fought and killed and treated each other terribly for the slightest gain, be it money, land, honor, or whatever bullshit you can think of. This is our natural state. Beat you over the head with a club to steal your cave and your hunt and your woman, or enslave you to raise our crops, or steal your life's earnings so we have more money in the bank. This anti-war idea is great, and lots of people have had it since the dawn of time- but that person's tribe usually gets killed/enslaved by the bigger tribe. The point is, man is an animal. It's in us to kill and hurt for gain. No matter how much we want to fight it, the average person deep down has an instinct and mindset that might=right Imperialism feeds into that
Adam Morales
Because conflict makes the best gameplay It's fun to roleplay as a part of the setting rather than remain isolated in our 21st century worldview >Napoopan Was based, but was French (Corsican). He wrought the best for France out of tumultuous times
Diminished empathy compared to who? Pretty sure millennials and gen Z have more empathy then Germans between 1939-1945. Have empathy for real life events, not stuff you play in a game.
Austin Cooper

what are you talking about, historylet? you're trying to tell me that tribes haven't been fighting and killing each other for the smallest shit ever since the dawn of time? imperialism is the extension of that. i'm not saying it's morally right, but it's what appeals to us. a video game a safe way to experience it
Isaac Taylor
Final Fantasy ripped off Star Wars which had an evil empire, and many JRPGs rip-off Final Fantasy, hence the evil empire is a common trope.
