Borean Tundra was a cluttered mess.
Noah Scott
Borean Tundra was the better starting zone, just as vashj'iir was the better one in cata.
Jack Hill
>vashjir
Is this nigga serious
Lucas Lee
What's your most hated zone, anons? Nazjatar for me.
Ayden Butler
Fuck you, I'm going to the other starting zone with the comfiest fucking music and then the best fucking zone with that violin
Samuel Martinez
Coldarra was a good part
Jace Sanders
This is literally where Blizz fucked everything up you fucking Wrathbabby.
Christopher Barnes
Not that user but Vash'ir was my favorite zone just for letting you swim around
Everyone I knew who hated water level ended up liking the zone for the herbs, mines and rares
Luke Cook
Whens next xpack?
Bentley Johnson
Modern Barrens
>DUDE WHAT IF WE PUT THIS MASSIVE FUCKING LINE DOWN THE BARRENS TO BLOCK NEW PLAYERS GETTING TO THOUSAND NEEDLES
Fuck you Blizzard
Xavier Flores
Vash'ir had very good atmosphere and music
peak SOUL

This is what I call home.
Nicholas Mitchell
more like boring tundra
Luke Cox
Probably November.
Oliver Anderson
>Stepped into Outland spoiler free even though I was a fucking casual and reached 58 like half a year into TBC
No game will ever recreate this feel
Brody Barnes
Don't mind me. I'm just posting best zone music in WoW period.
youtu.be
Jaxon Murphy
You. You are my nigga.
Noah Taylor
Howling Fjord was better imo.
Vashj'ir is legit one of the best zones in wow. It's different, beautiful, great music, etc. Everyone I know that hated vashj'ir just had a shit computer so they couldn't see more than 10 ft.
Christian Wright
>Grizzly Hills
>Eversong Woods
>Vashj'ir (First run only due to those stupid fucking mandatory naga quests.)
>Stranglethorn
>Zangarmarsh
>Jade Forest
>Feralas
I wish I could go back but there is nothing there for me.

that's not Kun-Lai Summit
Zachary Green
I don't like it because>
A: I played in the beta and it was a hilariously broken mess up until a few weeks before release
B: on the same coin, auto attacking Whale Sharks
C: Abyssal Maw
D: functionally its just a regular zone, and only melee have a different experience: sometimes you just gotta look up instead of left and right
E: Its associated dungeon is the worst of the Cataclysm leveling ones
F: The zone has 2 arcs, and it uses each one at least twice (save your faction) and (talk to the big snail)
Juan Edwards
>too busy with real life stuff to grind bwl and bgs for 6 months to obtain best gear in classic
>Too fed up with how casual and socially empty modern wow feels
Fucking hell just release tbc for me, it had perfect balance of grind and skill. Can't wait to tank as feral with my green armor items.
Carter Evans
Reminder TBC had the best aesthetic of any xpack.
Caleb Ortiz
Cata was such a trainwreck.
Classic questing was absolute autistic repetition for 120 fucking hours straight but at least you could do whatever the fuck you wanted.
Cata got this "regardless of your level you have to start with the low entry quest for the zone" which was usually a fucking chore before you can slowly work yourself up trough 4000 different phases completely fucking every form of group play.
Didn't do the quest? No problem! Here have this completely empty zone which you maybe can't even reach.
>Lets renew the base game by cutting 50% of its content.
Loved that zone? Oh boy you will burst with joy! We filled it completely with water and reduced the questing zones to 10% of what it was before.
They generally fucked up so many zones with water to make them smaller so players just can hop from quest to quest without any travel time and they don't have to implement more new stuff.
Jace Ross
I would argue you could say most of that about most zones. At least vashj'ir has really nice, unique visuals.
Also, hard casters have always been boring no matter the zone.
Henry Brooks
Space mulgore was ok but the rest was ass.
>red wasteland
>purple electric wasteland
>spiky mountain
>grey wasteland
>green wasteland
Robert Campbell
Cata was terrible all things considered but it felt nice and refreshing to level your worgen/goblin alt and not be bored with questing for the first time since vanilla, even if I only did it once and then learned that power leveling through dungeons was absolutely broken.
Nathan Roberts
Jade Forest and Storm Peaks are the best zones they've ever made
>Super dense, content for a big range of levels rather than level through and forget
>Just enough exposition without shoving cringe cinematics down your throat (Lorewalker, Thorim parts)
>Actually 3D without fucking up foot travel
>Great music
>Foreshadows major parts of the expansion(Lei Shen, Ulduar)
Luis Evans
unfortunately there's still no way for goblins/worgen to skip their leveling zones. the new tutorial island doesn't count
Oliver Scott
Worgen can swim past the invisible walls and commit seppuku in a spot that will teleport them to westfall desu. Very fun running around Elwynn with a level 1 human druid
Carson Sanchez
you forgot mushroom swamp and ancient alien city
Andrew King
Shhhhh everyone here in Zig Forums loves vashjir for some dumb fucking reason.
Thomas Price
aren't you locked out of duty finder till you complete the quest that puts you on the boat to teldrassil?
Kayden Walker
Nope. I'm pretty sure once you log in and out of Gilneas you're just a regular, but underleveled worgen.
William Anderson
Its music is top notch. Also the gimmick of an underwater zone is cool.
Ryan Hernandez
What about the new tutorial island?
Jack Morales
log in and out outside* of gilneas
Blake Morris
I've been fully casual in this game since end of wotlk and never manage to get a gladiator again, or even bothered to clear content on hardest difficulty except for BFA where I cleared mythic Uldir and got 1750 m+ score as fury (which was a fuckton for my spec and put me on 2nd place in my realm and like top 70 wars in EU) - then my m+ team fell apart because our tank and dh decided they'd rather play with wlock and rogue. Haven't played ever since.
Fuck this game.
Samuel Fisher
they're making a new tutorial starting island for all races. its pretty bog standard stuff, but seems to be built decently well, it even includes a little dungeon you do with npcs or other newbies. its mandatory for new players; and it spits you out at around level 10 and ready to quest elsewhere. people who already have a character at level cap when shadowlands hits can opt to go there, or go their usual starting zone.
its probably faster than the panda/worgen/goblin starting area, but i'm not in the alpha and have only watched footage from streamers
Mason Baker
>the best music in wow history is bagpipes
Is this an indictment of the rest of the game?
Nicholas Morris
I meant, that's a way to skip the goblin/worgen starting zone.
Austin Cook
problem is its still a 'cinematic experience' full of vehicle sections and cutscenes
Nolan Richardson
That's some made up shit. Warlock is likely the worst class for m+ in the entire game.
Carson Kelly
M+ at that time was all about cutting corners with gateways, soulstone mass resurrection and shroud once you push to 2000 Io score. Individual DPS is less of a priority when you can save 3 minutes on a skip.
Daniel Ramirez
Howling Fjord was superior aesthetically and especially musically. God I love that Norse violin thing
Nicholas Hughes
>Be Northrend
>Every zone is an undead and hellish nightmare full of tragedy, death, and horror
>Enter Grizzly Hills
>Best music in the entire game to date, comfy forest full of lumber jacks, wild life, and werewolves
How can any zone ever hope to compete?
William Ward
These are not bagpipes. It's a nyckelharpa. You can clearly hear the strings scratch.
Logan Peterson
the only good one too
Ethan Reyes
Elwyn Forest and the inn music are good too
