Banished Confirmed for Halo Infinite!

Who?
Good. They were way better that the Prometheans and whatever the Covenant offshoot in 4 and 5 were. Hopefully this means Red Team will get involved too.
Covenant 2.0 but without the religion.
>Brothers to the end, we are his will, we are his legacy
Atroix is totally fucking dead isn't he? Assuming Arbiter doesn't job then the elites that are with the banished will probably be persuaded to join him.
Nope, just because doesn't mean Atriox or spin-off Spartans are in, Halo Infinite is a simple story that will focus on the Master Chief so we're fighting the REAL Banished and not the 40K knockoffs from Halo Wars 2, plus 343 said it themselves that they want to keep the expanding lore out of the games, main reason Banished is in because of the same reason we fought Covenant in HW1 and fought Flood in the HW series, they are big enough to be everywhere, the Created will most likely be in Halo Wars 3 since they were originally plan to appear in DLC in Halo Wars 2.
Comsidering the state of things where HW2 left off it's not a far reach. Even them getting off the Ark will require some explaining.
There's more to the Banished than what was on the Ark? I thought one of the reasons they survived so long was due to them being a small mobile force.
God damnit just give Red Team some of the central spotlight, they're cooler than Nu-Blue Team and Osiris.
*Banished are in Infinite
Either that or he's stranded on the Ark with the SOF. Arbiter will say no and this will cause The Banished to fight the SOS, some of the Elites that were on Arbiter's side in Halo 3 already joined the Banished.
>Flood let loose at end of DLC
>Atriox going off to deal with them
Yea, everything is pointing to Atroix being dead, I think this all a setup for the Flood to comeback and corrupt Cortana even further, forcing Chief and Arby to put her down old yeller style.
>some of the Elites that were on Arbiter's side in Halo 3 already joined the Banished.
Wait what the fuck? Did this happen in the books?
It's not even really Cortana left isn't it? I thought 5's 'Cortana' was just something Warden made from her code so he could reactivate his shit.
They grew significantly after the fall of the Covenant Empire and now Jul's Covenant, they are huge. Atriox took a small force to the Ark while the main force is ready to conquer the galaxy. It's going to be a 4-way battle for control of the galaxy between the UNSC, the Banished, the Forerunners, and the Flood.
Some dialog in HW2.
Nope, in the ending of Halo 4, Cortana removed some of her rampant fragments, one of those fragments took over the Domain and the Warden, and created the Created, all of this is believed to be a Flood plan to help them take over the galaxy.
>Thel happy to see Chief in Bad Blood Book
Please just make Arby the coop character again, that's all I ask, if he stays an NPC then there's a good chance they will kill him.
>God damnit just give Red Team some of the central spotlight, they're cooler than Nu-Blue Team and Osiris.
Only Spartan getting the spotlight in the FPS games is Master Chief going forward, doesn't mean Red Team won't get the spotlight in HW3.
He stuck on his own world fighting Cortana's forces.
Arbiter following Chief around in Halo 3 was the worst thing ever happened to him
Can't we just get Half-Jaw to defend the Elite Homeworld and Arby traveling with the Chief.
This it's about Chief and Cortana being in Chief's head without the rampancy like in CE-3 not Arbiter needing to be by Chief's side like in 3, he finished his story in 5, give him a book or something, stop shoving him in Chief's story.
Consider the following;
By the end of HW2 Atriox has no ship left and his forces have been hammered by both the Flood and the UNSC. Not only that but with Guardians working with what are effectively EMPs, by all means it's likely he wouldn't be able to communicate with Banished outside his immediate forces.
As such, throughout Infinite it's believed that he's dead, only for him to suddenly show up and make the Banished an even bigger threat.
You can have Half-Jaw help out Arby but Arby needs to learn how to be on his own instead of following Chief's coattail all the time, him following Chief all the time will make him just another Blue Team, just have him defend his world and help occasionally.
god I wish they just fucking killed her already or just reduce her to the same role she had in Halo CE
I'm fucking tired of this Cortana bullshit
Stop thinking with your dick, Arbiter is Halo's player 2, he deserves to playable just as much as Chief is, him being a coop partner won't affect Chief's story but instead only enhance, do you really want a repeat of 5 where they shove a bunch of other characters in? Arbiter as Player with two player 3 and 4 being non canon multiplayer spartans/elites is the best route.
Don't worry, in Infinite, she's most likely going back to being Chief's partner with Infinite killing off the Created and giving the Promethean forces to the Warden and renaming them Forerunner forces like in Halo 4. 343's been wanting to kill off the story direction of Halo 5 for a while.
I would like a game about the Elite Civil War
Shut the fuck up you alien lover, Halo is a human story.
I wish they just ignored the nu-Halo stuff entirely. Not like straight up retconning everything but I don't want to fight Prometheans fuck that. Their design is going to feel really out of place too considering they're going back to the classic Halo look
>A splinter faction that used hit and run tactics and just killed stuff that came in their way became an enemy that just wants to glass humans because reasons
Weird
They need to be less shiny plastic and more grey metal, like the Sentinels.
You're the one who wants him shackled to the Master Chief for the rest of his life, series didn't start with him. I don't want him turning into another Blue Team where he is just there for fanservice and nothing else, plus it's really gay for him to be up in Chief's ass every single fucking game. Arby should be only focus with protecting his people. I hope Shadows of Reach kills Blue Team to stick it to lore fans and I hope Infinite goes back to Chief being the badass and Cortana being the tutorial in his head.
I get where you're coming from but Halo needs new enemies, the old covenant is gone, we don't know when the flood may return in the main games so we need the prometheans, the fact that they're going back to Halo's classic look means they're listening to feedback, which means playable elites too and hopefully that means they will find a way to make the prometheans work.
They needed a Covenant replacement.
Why does it need 2 multiplayer characters? In Halo 3 there were not enough characters to make a full team but now is different.
Player 1 - Chief
Player 2 - Arbiter
Player 3 - Anyone from blue team/Jerome/Buck (pls kill Locke)
Player 4 - half-jaw
343i even can go to an asspull route and add fucking Guilty Spark
Arbiter is a ruler, not Chief's bitch. He would be overthrown if he abandoned his people to follow a random human around
>Halo needs new enemies
I agree completely but they shouldn't use the Prometheans because not only their design will feel really out place, as I mentioned, but they are garbage enemies to begin with. I really believe that the Covenant is simply too good of an enemy and ironically one of Halo's weak points because that means they'll likely keep playing it safe forever instead of introducing new stuff (the Banished are basically the old Covenant with a new coat of paint). I'd still much rather just have them as the main bad guys again but I agree they need to introduce a brand new enemy faction.
>NOOOOOOOOO IT SHOULD BE ALL ABOUT CHIEF
>YOU CAN'T JUST INCLUDE OTHER CHARACTERS
Blue Team were characters, they have no place being playable but having 3 other Chief as coop partners is just really dull, part of the fun in Halo 3 was having different coop partners, nobody here is saying that Arbiter needs to be shackled to Chief for the rest of the series and obviously the series didn't start with Arbiter you retard but he's still a loved characters and he's not there for "fanservice" Blue team being in Halo 5 was fanservice and if they really wanted fan service then Shipmaster/Half Jaw would have been in 5 too, for me and other people we want playable Arbiter because we're going back to classic designs them teaming up one last time is exactly what most people want, I don't know why you're so against this but you do realise that if playable elites do come back then Arbiter is very likely to be playable one way or another in the campaign right?
>343i even can go to an asspull route and add fucking Guilty Spark
Nobody would like that and I think they're trying really hard not to annoy the fanbase after Halo 5
There's several actual Covenant splinter factions. One even includes humans.
>Random human
Based retard, Chief isn't a random human, most elites know he is, some hate him and others respect him, he wouldn't just be following Chief around, if Arbiter is back to being playing it wouldn't be to abandon his people but the opposite, his teamup with Chief again would happen because both of them want to protect their people.
tbf Guilty Spark being alive is an insult to begin with
Yea I gotta agree actually, I mean if the main focus of Infinte is fighting the Banished then I won't get any objections, I had my fun fighting them in 1-3 (sometimes in 4 and 5 but it didn't feel the same) so i'm sure I'll have fun fighting them again in Infinite.
This
At this point it would be fansevice, he had a reason to fight beside Chief in Halo 3, he doesn't now, adding him in Infinite would be no different from forcing Blue Team, Humanity needs to handle their own problems not call the Elites for everything.
>Half Jaw as a coop partner
That would be pretty fucking sweet really but they would have to introudce him in the right way to avoid a repeat of Blue Team in Halo 5 where they just kinda show up, atleast Arbiter worked alright in 5.
You fuckers are going to make me reinstall HW2. Shame the DLC probably doesn't carry over to PC.
Yes exactly but I doubt most of the people who play Halo even realize that he's still alive in 343 canon so if they show that he's still alive in the actual game I think a lot of people would be pissed
Everything you need to know: youtube.com
He's probably just marooned on the Ark.
>Humanity needs to handle their own problems not call the Elites for everything.
You do realise the current threat isn't just "Humanity's problem" anymore right? The Banished and created and whoever else shows up in Infinite will be affecting everyone, Arbiter working with Chief in Infinite again is totally justfied, I don't know why you are so against this, it seems silly really.
Too confusing and 343, like Bungie, doesn't want to push humans as an enemy force. Bungie and 343 go for short and easy names to remember, The Covenant, The Flood, The Sentinels, The Prometheans, The Banished, The Created, The Forerunners, they don't want to go for those long ass lore names.
Like I said, Arbiter should only appear if he runs into Chief, not just say, we're best friends let's fight together like brothers.
>All this seething about Arbiter working with Chief again
Fuck it Yapyap is coop partner, the nigg- I mean the banished pissed on his fucking house and killed all his minions, he decides to teamup with the humans for payback.
Fuck you Yapyap, and fuck your gremlins.
>we're best friends let's fight together like brothers.
Too late, he practially already said that in one of the new books, Arbiter is totally jusfited in being Chief's coop partner again, I really don't see why you would be against this, Arbiter won't be taking Chief's spotlight like Locke did in Halo 5.
