i don't know man, but i gave up on expecting one maybe 5 years back, after a ~decade of hoping. there were some close ones that seemed to have some hope but missed the mark. usually because they were incomplete/early-access and later forgotten about, or they were worked on over the years but each substantial update was a "1 step forward, 2 steps back" dealio. not AAA by far, but 7 days to die comes to mind

I like how in SurVive you can just fucking walk up to it and see that it's had METAL GEAR written on it all along (the model did in MGSV as well if you got close enough) but everyone has some excuse for why which isn't that they were lying to you in a game that tells you it's lying to you.
