>music gets on my nerves after a couple hours again
can't imagine doing 100 hours with this repetitive generic trash. Yes, it's the Switch version. This game could be perfect but the music is atrocious
Try it again

Didn't care much for this game or the music either. Game was "Fine", but it's so goddamn generic it felt like a waste of nearly 100 hours.
Music was fucking annoying, I agree.
My wife was asking me when I'd finish this game because she couldn't stand the music anymore (small apt).
Go to reshitera or plebbit. You'll find good company to bitch about the music there.
No I'm here forever and so are you
You're both fags.
You know that the switch has a volume option, right? Just mute the game and listen to whatever the fuck you want
the field theme can get a little repetitive but it changes in act 3 to something way more kino. if it really bothers you try killing yourself, fixed it for me.
They know japs and weebs over here will lap it up regardless so they didn't try. It's 100 hours of totally generic dull JRPG. Don't bother.
The music hasn't gotten on my nerves almost 40 hours in, but I play while using a second screen so there's always background audio.
Really? Fucking loved the ocean music.

Sylvando is an annoying bitch and the worst party member.
I can't even begin to tell you how wrong you are.
I get the joke. He was funny earlier on when he immediately mogs you and Erik, and walks off with the twins. But I just did the part in act 2 where he rejoins you and it's a little funny but it also made me sick a little bit.

No with that boring and daringly daringly plot, with that BASIC and shallow gameplay AND with bland characters.
the game is fun but is as mediocre as it can get.
Im at the same part. I hope it lasts a while because amassing an army of npcs is hilarious. I'm a little sad that i had my first death because i didn't realize how the damage formulas work against tougher enemies so i was no match against the cactus monster
How? How do people put 100 hours into something they hate? I played the 20 minute demo and knew the game would be exactly what you described
Yeah yeah, we get it. Sugiyama is right leaning and thus evil. We went over this already.
This is what makes me think they are liars from Reddit looking for street cred.
I speak for myself but If I start something I finish it even if I hate it, I can hate it even mre because now I would have a damn good reasin with arguments.
Ironically this game fits the criteria.
if you guys think the music in actual DQ games gets repititive, then you shouldn't play these games
I feel like the people who don't shut up about the music have to be underage or something, because music that plays from a cartridge would destroy them.
Nah they're just virtue signaling because of that hit piece article from Kotaku.
Its not that its repetitive it's that the music is bland. I'm glad that I'm starting part 2 and their are a few good tracks but the best ones are the boat which you're hardly on unless you refuse to zoom and slime quest slots which switches back to the bland wandering around music when you hit slime time. I grew up playing nes games so I'm used to hearing a few or even just 1 song for the entire game, but that music was memorable. This is my first enix game ive played since dq1. I guess squaresoft doesn't share their musical talent to enix ips
>I can hate it even mre because now I would have a damn good reasin with arguments
fucking Zig Forums
It's literally the same composer. Koichi Sugiyama has done all of the music since the first game. Since you are playing the switch version, did you try switching to DQ8's soundtrack?
Fuck off Erafag.
Now that you mention it, that's an exceptionally stupid statement. Imagine spending 100 hours on a game you don't enjoy just to bolster your arguments as if anybody actually cares, only to come to the "damn good reasin with arguments" of 'I don't like the music very much.'
all of them are good in certain ways
Just turn the music off dumbass.
