I left after three weeks of waiting in queues of 3000+ people and constant server crashes. Never returned after that. Was pretty fun while it lasted though.

Endless TBC solved the faction imbalance by just giving the exclusive paladin racial skill to both factions. Since seal of blood was absolutely broken. That and IIRC there's other incentives for rolling alliance on that server.
Private servers have their issues, but I'd rather play on that then give blizzard money to profit off of the work of people who don't even work at the company any more.

Patch made most classes too powerful for pre-naxx raids. Organized world buffs made players even more powerful. Game is faceroll easy when many were expecting it to be challenging. Now we unsubscribe waiting for BC to rerelease, hopefully they don’t fuck that up

When everyone you raid and play with is a turbo sperg obsessed with parsing and Warcraftlogs it takes a lot of enjoyment out of the game. Especially considering most of the actual gameplay is press your 1 button and have worldbuffs/consumes. Try playing ally on a pvp server
Try even coming near the turf of the guild colluding to control BL os Devilsaur areas
Try pvping against someone with all the engi trinkets, bombs and expensive gadgets, in addition to being an Orc or UD caster

The catch from playing WoW 15 yrs ago was knowledge, or the lack thereof. Add Blizz actively self-sabotaging and you get World of Hordecraft
