Why do this shit? It's annoying af. Why give us literally 3 seconds to read a bunch of answers then make a decision on one or it autoselects.
That's complete fucking horseshit.
Timed Dialog Responses Confirmed for Cyberpunk 2077
Same for the Witcher. You can pause the menu and take your time
I do have high hopes for the game though I will 110% agree you on that point, it's fairly fucking annoying but I think it's because of the cut-scenes being played realtime in game but maybe it's just because it's been done before? I dunno.
>You can pause the menu and take your time
Then what's the fucking point in it at all? Absolutely fucking ridiciulous. And I know it was in the Witcher that's why I never bothered playing 3. Why the fuck would I want a 3 second time limit on an important dialog option.
Fucking morons...
also why is dialog all 1st person? What's the point of customizing a qt futa waifu if we only get to see her when riding a motorcycle?
>I think it's because of the cut-scenes being played realtime in game
Ah, so that's why they do it, so they can push an interactive cutscene on you instead of putting the work in to make it actual gameplay.
Probably cause real life works like that? You can't exactly pause and determine what the best response will be.
Tbh I prefer that and since it's a FP game no problems. They could have done a Fallout 4 option I guess where you could pick FP dialog or cinematic dialog.
Real life does not work like that, actually, I can take as long as I want to answer a question in real life, in fact I can even not reply and often do when I don't like what someone asks, and real life is not a fucking video game you utter spastic.
Should they make us have to shit and piss several times a day in the game too?Fuck off back to where you belong
>Zig Forums thinks having a timer on dialog ruins the dialog system now for the hip fotm hate bandwagon
>Despite singing praises for AP dialog system for years
Dialog in first person??? Do you mean why the camera is in first person because that would imply your character speaks in the third person...
I think all of 'cutscenes' are fully in game and never pause. Which I have to say is better than a fucking intrusive cutscene. Plus it's harder to make so I doubt it's because they didn't put the work into it.
Zig Forums is a place that doesn't play games, remember that.
Yeah, I hate that shit in games. It's even worse when the responses don't match the dialogue.
>It's even worse when the responses don't match the dialogue.
Literally every response in the game. The joys of 'voiced protagonists'... Video games are truly fucking dead.
I will say, I would rather take the time limit than responses that don't match the dialogue. I think it was in Deus Ex maybe but I said to another agent after mission boasting at how good I was but in the end the response insulted the agent and I just reverted back to the start of the mission to pick the other prompt which was humble.
>NOOO IT'S NOT LIKE MY JRPGS
and the excuses continue. .
>I think it was in Deus Ex maybe
I'm pretty sure all the Deus Ex games gives you the entirety of each dialogue option.
everything about this game is trash
I'm fine with it as long as not selecting anything is its own option.
Not the original, I think it was something about boasting about my character but it insulted the other person I was talking to.
>I'm fine with it as long as not selecting anything is its own option.
It's not, if you don't answer in time the game just autoselects an option for you like in the Witcher games, lmao...
>Real life does not work like that, actually, I can take as long as I want to answer a question in real life, in fact I can even not reply and often do when I don't like what someone asks
Wow actual autism
I didn't say those were excuses. You can get around them
Oops, let me rephrase that, nope, it's the original.
Proof???
>Proof???
That's how they did it in Witcher games, obviously going to be the same for this. Ask them yourself if you need confirmation
>"Hey dude, do you know where Main Street is?
>Deadpan fucking stare
>Nothing not even blinking
>"Hello?"
>"Okay... Then..."
>af
casual bitch
Sakura Wars had it way before that
In a game though you have to take the time to read each response, and think about what each one means and will likely lead to (within the context of the game). That eats up a lot of the time you're given.
I didn't say it was the first to do it, retard.
The point is to not let you think about the consequences and make you go with your gut reaction.
>That eats up a lot of the time you're given.
Especially when it's literally 3 second limit. Even 5 seconds would be cutting it pretty fine, 3 seconds is a fucking joke...
I, for one, want to know what reddit thinks of this so that I can hold the opposing opinion.
>Zig Forums gets filtered by a fucking dialogue system
haha bro i can't even
LMAO that made me chuckle thinking about that...
The solution is to simply pause during that timed dialogue. Mod fixes everything, but console's are left in the dark.
Not like CDPR gets these kinds of criticisms daily to make a change. Maybe if you false flag as someone with a disability. Not trying to insult you OP
Sorry you can't go get more Dewritos during talky bits in games like this, user. :(
It adds a sense of urgency to the situation, making you answer on your natural instincts, instead of giving you time to think it out. In the context of having something unknown being hooked up to you by some giga nigga, I think it works fine
you can type "as fuck" here, it's ok, you won't get in trouble
It's (((cinematic)))! Also it allows you to have terrible choices or shoddy writing because the player won't have enough time to think over just how stupid the choice is before panic-choosing one.
Based, incredibly fucking based...
