Why do people like Sor4 more than RCG?
RCG:
>more moves, stats, better combat
>more open world, exploration, items
>more innovative and interesting boss fights
Sor4:
>better visuals and music
and that's it! seriously, RCG is the better game.

RCG is cringe, bro
Who are these people? First time I've seen someone even compare those games you schizo.
The comparison draws itself, they're the only two even moderately well publicized beat em up's released in like 15 years.... I'm not saying that anyone has explicitly compared them to each other, but SoR4 gets a great deal of praise when I think that, in terms of gameplay, RCG is superior.
ok schizo
don't make a thread next time
Is Zig Forums so fucked up on e-celebs and ecchi hornyposting, that creating a thread comparing two video games seems like a schizoaffective behavior? You do know this is a video game board, right?
RCG is a shitty RCR knockoff so it makes people bitter and rightly so. SoR4 is decent for the series and as you said, looks and sounds better. Beat em ups are casual games so the visuals and music go a long way to making it a more enjoyable experience.
River City Girls was a bad Kunio game
Streets of Rage 4 was a good Streets of Rage game
If it's not attracting Kunio fans or Streets of Rage fans then the games gonna be less favored
>RCG is a knockoff of RCR but SoR4 isn't a knockoff of SoR 1-3
Incredible double standard, doing essentially nothing to change the formula and deliver a different game other than updating graphics isn't a knockoff but a genuine attempt to make something interesting and new is? Incredible.
Imagine liking River City Girls
I hate underage retards who seem unable to start a sentence or criticize anything with that handy little phrase "imagine ______"
Why don't you imagine fucking killing yourself.
I fucking LOVE SoR4, hope they add new Shiva as a playable character.
imagine getting this angry about literally nothing on the internet.
Well, yeah. One's a spinoff that reduces the mechanics available and actively shits on the original game's plot. The other's a direct sequel made by people that like the original and it shows. There is a clear divide here and it's not possible to ignore it for the sake of an argument.
>more moves, stats, better combat
>more open world, exploration, items
>more innovative and interesting boss fights
None of them made the game better. Most of what RCG does is poorly executed.
What am I missing here? I played through River City Ransom Underground a couple of times... other than getting stats from food instead of just leveling them, what mechanics are "reduced" in RCG?
didn't people hate the ending of rcg so much that way forward pretty much went back and re did it?
RCG controls like ass. Fuck that game.
Threadly reminder to play Fight'N Rage
nearly all the moves in RCG are shit and arent even usable
Why would I want to play as a girl?
how are you all having difficulty with this? It couldn't be easier.
>you schizo
??
i didnt say any aspect of the game was difficult, i just said most of the moves are shit
How does Sor4 shit on the original's plot?
>better combat
lmao
oh, well when you said they weren't usable, I thought you meant that you couldn't figure out how to do the combo
take your meds.
you're projecting, user
I'm with you in theory and concept but rcg falls so fucking flat on its face in its execution almost in every aspect except its combo system. Simply put the most fun in the game is making your way around the map busting heads. Boss fights are either too weak or stupidly cheap (abobo) and personally way4wards tongue in cheek 4th wall attitude they use with everything they touch is obnoxious.
I still think despite all that RCG is very good but SoR4 has it beat on fundamentals alone.
I just don't get it. SoR4 has nothing to it. I beat it in like, 2 hours? RCG has more content and I enjoy roaming the map bashing heads, something that Sor4 doesn't let you do.
I'm with you on that tongue-in-cheek self-referential stuff though, jesus, that got old real fucking fast.
Can you play RCG single player and still have a good time? I heard people say that it's balanced around two players.
I am interested in it, I tried Fight N Rage but it was too difficult for me. I understand RCG has RPG elements to it?
