Without going into hyperbole; it's great right up until Chapter 9, at which point it takes a nosedive. Like you can tell Chapter 9 is the exact point they ran out of time & money. But before that when it's you dicking around Lucis with the lads? It's great. If that was the entire game I would've considered it money well spent.

What stood out for me was the nice music, the really cool summons, and some of the touching moments between characters. Betting on monsters in the arena of not-Venice was pretty fun. The combat was pretty fun, but repetitive.
Driving around with the bros is fun, but sidequests get repetitive. Also there was some jankiness and awkward dialogue all over the place.
I actually liked the last chapter, but the chapter with the endless hallways was very strange.
