Am I some kind of super genius? Or what?
Am I some kind of super genius? Or what?
What is your ethnicity op?
i just relized this game is on gog
This game is so boring lol I bought it but understand now why it’s getting thrashed by reviewers. It feels so dated and just empty. Babies first platform, it doesn’t do anything interesting. The movement isn’t fun, collecting isn’t fun, and the worlds are lame.
canada
not black like Funke
Ok cool, but what's your ethnicity?
I wonder if they'll remake any of the other spongebob games while they're at it.
I remember playing the movie game and being pretty frustrated with some of those levels back in the day. I wonder how it would hold up now.
I should find the iso I suppose, but I know it'll be ugly because it was ugly back then too.
ok zoomer
It’s a similar situation to The Simpsons Hit and Run where the milage you get out if it is dependent on how big a fan you are of the source material
it's a 2000s era collect-a-thon game. What do you expect? Collect-a-thon games have been known to be tedious especially those games from the late 90s and early 2000s era
why do they seem tedious?
btw isnt me
is
and im white canadian somehow he knows where im from like a stalker
For its time, Hit & Run was genuinely a good game. Obviously you enjoy it more if you're a Simpsons fan, but it has very competently designed mechanics and maps, though it is ridiculously difficult. It was also good for little fucks like me who weren't old enough to play GTA at the time.
What makes BFBB a lesser game by comparison?
Sorry, I should have specified I'm not the person you replied to. I haven't replayed Battle for Bikini Bottom recently but I remember enjoying it as a kid, it was able to keep my attention pretty well.
oh sorry then
The Movie game will probably never get a remake because it was designed to act as extra advertising for an upcoming movie at the time. The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie isn’t new anymore so there’s no point in investing money to bring back what was essentially an old commercial, all be a rather fun commercial, for an old movie no longer in the immediate public consciousness.
I thought that this game was a meme like Garfield Kart
>It feels so dated
whoa really? i fucking wonder why?
why do zoomers have such small fucking brains?
How does Movie compare to Battle?
It's not "dated" at all. It was a piece of shit when it came out. I was a kid at the time during the peak of Spongebob's popularity, and I fucking hated it. I was entertained by damn near any game at that age too. The idea that this is some sort of classic is fucking absurd, and I can't imagine it came about on Zig Forums recently for any reason other than shills.
it’s okay but suffers from trying to fit the more non linear structure of Battle into a linear level by level game. There’s lots of forced backtracking to pad the game out, most likely as a result of rushed development to get the game out in time along side the movie
it takes guts to post the truth user
God I wish it had more time in the oven. Some of the gameplay changes make it feel leagues better than Battle but the level design and forced backtracking later really lets it down.
Shout out to the slide level in the trench where you can just jump off the track and there's no kill plane.
What improvements did it make over BFBB?
They need to remake Rugrats: Search For Reptar next.
yeah its true. i replayed hit and run a couple months ago. its complete trash. i dont understand how i enjoyed this shit as a kid.
i had never seen a single episode of the simpsons when i first played that and i still liked it
it does the "GTA, but really simplified" thing pretty well, especially for a barely finished game
not sure many people want a remake of that game considering the only people who remember Rugrats are in their 30s now and have pretty much out grown the kind of game that Search For Reptar is.
Yeah that's pretty much it. I'm 30 and have memories of life not being total shit when that game was new. I want that back.
why the fuck does the audio desync? And why don't they "skip" their talk when I continue to the next textbox like literally any other game?
Glitches from rushed development
But then it’s just pandering to nostalgia. At it’s core Search for Reptar is a very simplistic game without much meat to it’s gameplay. It was a game meant to entertain very young children and nothing more.
