I'm getting nostalgic for Age of Conan. Did funcom figure out how to run a game since then?

I don't think that's possible for Funcom. Also, pretty sure they got bought by Tencent as well... Conan Exiles is my guilty pleasure, to say the least.

I wish I could bring myself to play this, but I know any base I built would be destroyed while I was offline.

It does have dick slider (among other things).
I don't play online. Also, I use mods.

I'll tell you next week when this game is free from epic.

Don't use them then? Though for boss fight they can be handy. And also, if you play singleplayer you can mess with ''server'' settings to change player/npc damage, health and things like that.

Static in what way? That most npcs don't roam?

I have a comfy base in the north, between the Cimmerians and the Nordheimir. I play on an official server with nice helpful people. However there are so many new bugs with each update that it's hard to keep the interest.

I also have on Steam fren. Was just thinking since there will be a lot of new players, might make the game feel fresh again. Also, the servers people play on aren't steam ones. So Epic and Steam will be able to play together.

everything being in the same place all the time means the game's easy to cheese.

I hate procedural shit most of the time, it's not as fun to explore, but I get that it would give game more longevity.

Yeah you can play this single player and build a cool base and set up NPC's within the base. I played it like that for a while with mods and was fun. Also, there's sex mods for the game as well so if you're into that then it'll be even better. Don't buy it though, it's the next free game on Epic Store.
