How can a game be decent, but also be 1/10? You dont rate games on how they compare to the sequel. If TLOU1 was kino, and you don't like TLOU2 that much because it's story isn't as good as the second, then you still give it some merit (if you perceive it) for the gameplay.

Most people felt that way, honestly. The writing is very contrived, and making Abby likable AFTER she kills an incredibly important and liked character from the last game is impossible. She's a horrible bitch. The rest of the game is some good shit though, it's unfortunate they took such a stupid risk with Abby and the narrative surrounding her.
Maybe a better risk would have had you playing as Abby and Ellie subsequently without knowing who Ellie was hunting, or what Abby had done until around the midway point where they first meet.

This entire game felt like it accused me of being a homophobe and then tried to teach me to think otherwise with a 20+ hour lesson that I had to pay for. Except I didn't even get a chance to tell them I've nothing against the lgbt community because they wouldn't let me get a word in. Now I'm forced to rate it 10/10 because otherwise they'll assume I learned nothing in that "lesson", confirming that I am in fact a homophobe. This game is a trap.
