Have you gotten all the badges already?

50$ for a niche title like this is prohibitive and its doomed to flop
fpbp
they're retarded, pirated because of it
That doesn't make sense
...
>want to play game
>game is overpriced all to shit
>pirate it to play it instead
>this somehow doesnt make sense to a retard
lol
>game is overpriced
But it's not, in what world should things be cheaper because they're less popular?
>But it's not
Indieshit made on shoestring budget that couldn't even be bothered to have 3D cutscenes and original voice actors like its predecessors, couldn't even have 2/3 as many levels as predecessor and couldn't even be bothered to have 6 playable characters like its predecessors.
All of which were CHEAPER and had MORE CONTENT.
Yes it is overpriced, fuck off shill.
>it's overpriced compared to 15+ years old games
Launch prices were cheaper you underage monkey, also good job ignoring all the other points. Take this last (You) and fuck off with your shill thread.
I didn't ignore any point, your whole post can be summed up with the classic "old good, new bad".
im 70% through and its getting a little too hard to be fun. Havent played in a week.
Finished the game on Thursday. Absolute kino ending, now doing the badges, but I don't think I will ever get the speedrun badges, especially since it counts the total time spent on the level, so reloading will fuck you over.
>5:10 on Normal for Byers Pass
>sorry no badge for you, as you actually spent around ten minutes in the level
Made me salty, but I am going for the other badges. Yesterday I did the Mississippi level; I am always trying to get as many badges as possible with one run. Was fucking hard not using Isabelle's connection and not even TOUCHING water and freeing Kate or Hector first, but with a bit of method it's perfectly doable.
I am also surprised at how easy Desperado difficulty actually is.
webm related is something I did last week
That's some kino exploit of the snake, never knew about this
>Take a wild west setting
>A setting known for bombastic gunfights, train robberies, over the top personalities, sweeping adventurous landscapes
>Make it a slow plodding stealth game
Desperados was never good
I wish there was a new Commandos. Commandos 2 is definitely the best game in the genre.
Speedruns are actually pretty fun, first routing the map and then going for that perfect execution.
So far I finished all of chapter 1 badges on Desperados and the speedruns I found the tightest were Byer's Pass and Eagle Falls, the latter in particular has pretty tough execution and doesn't allow a lot of reloading.
Flagstone can be easily routed and done in 5 minutes, Higgins Estate is very easy in 3-4 minutes and O'Hara Ranch is a bitch to get in one save but otherwise easy to do 6mins. I don't watch speedruns so I route things myself, I'm pretty sure there are madmen that do it much faster.
You don't, the current owners of Commandos IP are pozzed, just look how they massacred my boy Commandos 2 in the """remaster""".
I'm having a dilemma, because I'm getting badged on beginner, but some of the more interesting ones I want to do on a much harder difficulty. It won't feel right breezing through the final mission on beginner so I'll try to be a pacifist on Desperado
I am watching a korean speedrunner called Optiburn, he's got Starcraft tier APM, absolutey fascinating. But I never liked speedrunning things anyways, I just can't click and move around fast enough.
What do you mean? That you get badges on Beginner? That's definitely a bug.
I wish Pyro Studios were still around. I remember having a demo disk and there was an extended trailer for one of the cancelled games called Heart of Stone. I can't find that trailer anywhere now, but it looked so fucking amazing, maybe too ambitious. Probably my biggest regret of a game getting cancelled.
>I wish Pyro Studios were still around.
They are, they just make mobileshit now because it's easier and makes more money.
>Do O'Hara's Ranch for the no save badge
>Two longcoats down
>Onwards to the third
>try to set up a trap
>Push F5 out of habit
Yeah, I'm pretty salty right now.
I think you should keep trying anyway, it's not right to call them speedruns, it's rather doing things optimally. People speedrunning this seriously will completely crush the timer.
I did this earlier
youtu.be
and despite what I said about it being tight, it still leaves some margin for error, and that's assuming the route is even good, because if I have to choose between fast and technical or slower but easily repeatable, I'll always pick the second.
The timers are kind of stupid, from one level to the next they vary from super tight to extremely lenient.
>A setting known for bombastic gunfights, train robberies, over the top personalities, sweeping adventurous landscapes
Good thing that all of these are present in the game
WDoA had 6 dedicated tutorial missions, plus one really bad final boss.
3 has one mission that's purely a tutorial, the rest has quick tutorials inside proper missions.
so it's really 15 vs. 18 missions
See, that's still too hectic for me. I like taking my time and not clicking around wildly and keeping track of a thousand things at once. It's one reason why I actually enjoy these kinds of games and can't stand RTS. That is just not my thing. Call me a brainlet, but that's how it is.
And Desperados 2/Helldorado has 33 missions in total, with no dedicated tutorial missions because all tutorials are within the main missions themselves.
>more content
Do they really? I haven't played any but pic related says they're about the same length.
That shit is completely retarded because the playtime in these games depends purely on individual basis as there's shitload of ways you can achieve your objective.
>using playtime as a measure of content
Come on user.
>not including Helldorado aka second half of Desperados 2 because developers got jewed by kike publisher to release literally HALF of a game
Dishonest as fuck pic, also
But we're not talking about a MMO, it says main story specifically, there's only so much playtime you can put into finishing the content of the main story.
If it's sold separately or as DLC, then it should be treated as a separate game, I don't see the problem.
Not trying to be dishonest but I'm not convinced.
and by DLC I mean expansion, god damn
