It's probably not going to be anything like Cyberpunk. Starfield has been in the works since right after Fallout 4 and has been being planned long before that it'll probably resemble something like a modern day Starflight than anything resembling Cyberpunk.

TOW definitely stepped on Starfields toes by overdoing what Bethesda left out of fallout 4 in Starfields setting. I can see why they took advantage of the moment but not cool for vidya.
tbqh I'd rather them stop working on starfield and their multiplayer shits and completely refocus on fallout and es single player experiences. if they made just those two games 3 years apart alternating they'd be golden, but I bet that's too boring for the devs

id rather them build on what they were getting right than completely shift genres. fallout 4 doesn't even have motorcycles and now they're trying to create a space flight simulator? flying on dragons was on the rails. subwaycarhead.jpg. Skyrim and NV are now 9 years old, it's going to be 5 years since fallout 4, there's almost a decades worth of kids who have never had a good Bethesda rpg.
I also think oblivion, fallout 3, Skyrim, and NV all coming out in rapid succession spoiled the community a bit, but that didnt mean they had to completely cut everyone off

Didn't they already fix the vehicle issue with 76? The Bethesda Austin guys pretty much completely dissected and rewrote alot of the engine to decouple the player from the world loading in.

Bethesda are lazy because they know their games will sell like hotcakes regardless of the effort. So of course management will cut down on going the extra mile, or creating anything other than the basics.
Otherwise they'd build a looooong overdue new gaming engine - cutting edge for next gen consoles bespoke to show off their gaming worlds.
Instead they instead they continue to use an engine that was already extremely shit a decade ago, for the next decade.

Cyberpunk has nothing to do with Starfield. Bethesda has never been on the bleeding edge of graphics. It's closest competition is Outer Worlds and it shouldn't take much to do better than that piece of shit.
The best part about starfield is it's going to provide the modding community with a huge platform for space games.

They actually have alot of resources this time, not saying thats a guarantee they won't still be lazy, but Bthesda has always been way smaller than your average AAA studio. Its just the immense popularity of Fallout and TES makes alot of people assume they're this huge dev when they're basically AA tier small studio until recently.
