Danmaku seen in the Touhou games proper is abstracted to such a degree that saying any single difficulty is "canon" would be disingenuous since none of them accurately portray what danmaku duels are canonically like with complete accuracy.
That said I think most works that reference spell cards use the spell card names from normal difficulty, so that I guess, as meaningless as that statement is.
