List games you'd like to see indie developers make new clones of

>tomb raider 1-4
>parasite eve 2
>heroes of might and magic 2-3
>final fantasy tactics
>duke nukem 3d/halflife 1 (there probably are some like these, I imagine)

I would say IWD/BG/Fallout 1-2 but they have been and they are awful. Underrail is goat though.

I don't want indie trannies making abominations of games I enjoy.

I didn't say trannies. There are good ones out there, like Stygian Software.

Why not make new games. If you want to play old stuff, just go play that. Indie devs are already unoriginal enough as it is.

I'm talking about new games.

>I didn't say trannies.
You said indie.

>I'm talking about new games.
You said clones.

The original tomb raider games would be hard to remaster though. If you stray from the rigid movement and square level geometry and try to make traversing the geometry of the levels more modern and fluid it would lose the appeal that makes people love the original games over the new ones. If you keep the rigid movement and square level geometry then zoomers won't care about it and it wouldn't be worth remaking from a business perspective.

>parasite eve 2

this

what game is that? i like the style

i like how you retards can't read.
>tomba 1-2
>medievil 1-2
>syphon filter 1-3

You're talking about regurgitating old ideas rather than create something fresh and original.

Tomb Raider 3, it looks cool but if you go in the water you get eaten by piranhas.

How fucking new to vidya are you? And if just the pic isn't enough for you, can't you read the fucking filename?

Remakes and remasters sell well and are here to stay, might as well be good ones.

They did a remake of the first game and it was alright I guess.

>If you keep the rigid movement and square level geometry then zoomers won't care about it and it wouldn't be worth remaking from a business perspective.
Obviously it wouldn't be for zoomers though. I'd fork out for new faithful TR style games. I think a lot of boomers would.

Yes.

>why don't normal people recognize this 30 year old game

Dude, you'd be amazed how popular underrail is with zoomers. If they make a good game, people will like it.

>parasite eve 2
fuck off please

Well it'd have to be
>relatively simple, within an indie's ambition
>not something TOO simple because honestly indie arcade games can fuck off
>not something overcrowded
>something I'm actually interested in playing
I don't know. Linear arpgs? Those used to be a thing until open worlds came along. Regular adventure titles? Puzzle-focused adventure games that aren't point n click?
I don't really care about indie clones. Seen enough zelda clones for a lifetime, thanks.

No, it's a fantastic game.

>duke nukem 3d
Ion Fury.

Tell us about it.

eh

Fine
believe whatever you want but 1 is amazing and if anything, people should try to mimick its combat system instead of making yet another shitty resident evil clone, a franchise, that isnt even able properly to remake its first game. Yes, i say it out loud, the very first game is miles better than any shit we got with 2 and 3, nevermind the fucking remakes. But no, im not angry, fuck all that. I really just enjoy the combat in 1, you should have said 1 pal. you absolute baffoon

>Duke Nukem 3d

Ion Furry is out.

>eh
Your loss. Ion Fury is 10/10.

>some people in this very thread weren't even born when this came out

I'll never understand why retards on Zig Forums shit over indies. AAA's don't care about you anymore and are going to keep releasing downgraded remakes and creatively bankrupt watered down shit catered towards the lowest common denominator until the end of time, all you have left are indies (and a small handful of AA japanese companies).

Guild Wars 1
Mount & Blade

1 was boring and poorly balanced
2 was a fantastic game, much more detailed and well-rounded, you just didn't like it because it wasn't like 1

>retards
there's your answer

I looked into it, it just doesn't look good at all.

It's on par with Douk/Blood/SW, you're doing yourself a disservice if you enjoyed any of the aforementioned games. Pirate it and try it.

Because Steam Greenlight happened, and the label "indie" suddenly also umbrella-included just a tidal wave of neverending diarrhea. The name was smeared by sheer association.

10/10 mechanics.
10/10 maps
10/10 enemy-player balancing.
4/10 pacing.
2/10 reason for secrets to exist when you have dick for an ammo cap and the two useable items suck.

Good game.

tomb raider 3
Probably the best-looking one of the bunch.
