I TOLD YOU LMAO. It was VERY suspicious that Sony did not count the second weeks sales and only focused on sales till June 21. Why didnt they count sales from June 22 - 27. The game's "legs" collapsed.

This is because day 1 sales take into account all the preorders that were done years in advanced. An 80% dropoff is expected from every game ever

The only reason Sony did this is because the game is shit and sold like shit. It's much better to just tell investors about all those million "sold" copies than actually saying that the game was shit and the worst mistake in history.

Uncharted 4 sold 9 million in 2016. This game already is irrelevant & nobody else is buying it, U4 had good word of mouth so more people bought it. That isn’t the case for TLOU2 since everyone hates it

The No.1 game, however, is far from surprising. PS4 exclusive The Last of Us Part 2 holds No.1 for a second consecutive week. Sales of the game dropped 80% week-on-week, which is a heavy fall, but not unusual for a game that sold as strongly as this one did in its first week, when it eclipsed Uncharted 4's debut to become the fastest-selling PS4 exclusive.

By comparison, Uncharted 4 dropped 78% in sales during its second week. It's worth noting that this is purely boxed sales, and digital download sales have increased significantly since Uncharted 4 was released in 2016, therefore comparisons between the two games need to be taken in that context.

There are actually two The Last of Us games in the top ten this week, with The Last of Us: Remastered at No.9 after an 82% rise in sales week-on-week.

4 million is fucking abysmal for the sequel of one of Sony's greatest successes of the last generation.
Also, it destroyed the goodwill the franchise had built, meaning a sequel to TLoU2 would be expected to perform much worse than this one.

Believe me when I say this as a Sony loyalist that enjoyed TLOU1 a bit.
This game should fail, anything that is closely tied to the California HQ should go up in flames so maybe Sony can go back to what it used to be when it was based in Japan.

Rev up those bargain bins and bundles sony. You do it with all of your exclusives because they are bargain bin trash that only get bought the first week because of marketing.
