any other games like Nier or Bayonetta?
Any other games like Nier or Bayonetta?
Maybe look up Capcom and Platinum games? Retard?
Devil may Cry series
Metal Gear Rising
Vanquish
God Hand
>Nier or Bayonetta
are nothing alike.
For Nier... I assume you've already played THE NieR (Gestalt / Replicant), or you're waiting for the remake?
Drakengard games belong into the same universe too.
For Bayo-style stuff, the Devil May Cry series is the obvious choice.
>any other action adventures or hack n' slashes
yeah, shitloads.
never did try DMC
is there a specific one i need to start with, or can I start from the beginning?
DMC5
Transformers: Devastation
Though prepare to have you pants fun'd off
Try to get the collections rather than buying everything separately.
1)Play DMC1 until you "get it," and feel like you've had enough. It's very simple and dated comparatively which can turn people off, but really interesting and good on its own merits as an early example of the genre.
2) Do not bother with DMC2. If you get it in a collection, feel free to play for the 20 minutes it will keep your attention.
3) DMC3:SE is the best in the series. You can start here just fine.
4) DMC4:SE has a lot of playable characters for variety, but me personally I like the feel of the combat less, and they infamously ran out of time/budget on the original game which becomes very obvious in the second half. Still great, and more modern than DMC3 if that stuff bothers you.
5) DmC:DMC:SE is an okay game, but it's not a good DMC game. If you look up the spanish dub shitposting videos, that's probably enough.
Basically, depending on your personal tolerance for older game jank, you can start with DMC 1, 3, or 4, but ignore 2 and DmC.
>If you look up the spanish dub shitposting videos, that's probably enough.
el taco danté
astral chain is a bit of a mix of both but its combat is far more complex than automata's but not as deep as bayo's
Why did so many people get filtered in Bayonetta?
start with DMC1, play in release order.
Skip 2. It's universally considered shit.
>Playing Drakengard
My will to keep on living drains every chapter. Jesus just end my suffering already
I don't know why, but the game just isn't any fun.
Now you're experiencing the true Taro™ ride!
>DMC3:SE is the best in the series.
You appear to have completely forgotten that 5 exists.
These Plus Kingdom Hearts 2/3 and Kid Icarus Uprising for kid friendly examples that still have as good gameplay as the adult ones.
Not him, but 5 was a disappointing as hell clusterfuck. Literally worse than 4 alone.
V was trash, fag.
>Kid Icarus Uprising
fuck now that I think about it uprising kinda is a saturday morning cartoon version of nier automata
I have only played 5, but I liked it. What is so bad about it compared to other entries?
literally nothing. Zig Forumsedditors just like to shit on it for fun
Play them in release order. You could skip 2, it's kinda shit, or you could just play through it to enjoy 3 much more.
>starting with the last game of series
fucking WHY??
>what's bad about it?
Art-design.
Map-design.
Lack of challenge.
OST.
>You appear to have completely forgotten that 5 exists.
>I have only played 5
Every Fucking Time
>Art-design
Not the greatest, but it isnt that bad neither
>Map-design
Yeah, it was kind of lackluster
>Lack of challenge
Other entries werent hard, though
>OST
Agree
Overall it was a good game,
Not the same user
Is 3 worth it after 5? Only played 4 before that
3 is probably the best game in the series so yeah, it's absolutely worth it.
Though I'd recommend playing 1 first to enjoy the improvements of 3 so much more.
>Other entries werent hard, though
t: someone didn't play DMC3.
DMC3 is a quintessential video game. Period.
Only on dmd and the american normal which is hard mode.
And you fans are going to tell me DmC:DMC is actually better? Get out
