Or did I mishear what playing as the origin characters actually entails? I would much rather play as a custom character, I just had seen a few people say that you're losing out on stuff if you play as a custom (and that Larian even said that they're not doing BG3 the same way because of the complaints about custom characters missing out on stuff).

Like, no kidding, I played the game with every single character, Ifan has the most dialogues specific to him (the ones that start with [IFAN]), he's also tied to every single element and plot of the game.
