what happened?
What happened?
what do you mean
late millenialls and zoomers were given easy access to the internet and ruined gaming for everyone.
>walk
>swing
>loot
>repeat
Things improved :)
Aren't late millennials and zoomers the same thing
At least the style is dark again
Blizzards's corporate culture drastically changed after WoW's insane amount of popularity and we will sadly never see such soul and passion put into Blizzard vidya again. I'm still somewhat hopeful of Diablo 4 after Blizzard seems to have somewhat listened to fan criticism but idk man it's not looking good
blizzard was never good
>deal hundreds of damage per attack
>basic enemy health bar still barely moves
Oh boy, I can't wait to have weapons that deal millions of points of damage per second against enemies with trillions of hitpoints.
>+14% crushing blow damage
>12% damage to stunned enemies
>+6 Angelic power
>9% damage reduction while evading
they are going to learn nothing about why D3 itemization is so shit and it'll be all about getting certain sets/legendaries all over again
I miss D1 where a magic short sword with +10 to all attributes was considered an end game item
False
gotta be 18 or older to post here buckaroo
What happened with what? Diablo always sucked and it's prime nostalgia fuel today. I played both in their time and within the context they were fun but the sheers simplicity and meta faggotry they exhibit makes them more than obsolete today. The only good thing about this series is the cinematics, otherwise it's as stagnant as the shit I took this morning
>they are going to learn nothing about why D3 itemization is so shit and it'll be all about getting certain sets/legendaries all over again
and then they'll say that's what the players want
Are there any fun ARPGs with online elements out there right now? Path of Exile just feels like butts to control and actually play.
way too much aoeshit for a proper warrior
>At least the style is dark again
It's literally a reshade on d3
and then they'll increase the drop rate by 1000% because everybody will bitch they can't get the items they want fast enough
PoE has basically no competition which is why it peaked a couple years back and is now slowly stagnating towards its death.
How’s Lost Epoch? Worth picking up right now? I was looking forward to Torchlight III but I hear it’s shit.
This. Why multiply everything by twenty?
Hopeful for diablo 4?!
You mad lad.
Theres absolutely no way in hell it will be decent.
Are there any games where the damage popups use to the nth power because they're so hilariously bloated?
So whats the best diablo like games out there right now?
>Tfw you always wanted gaming to be more mainstream and to be recognised as an art form when you were growing up
>Now everyone's a gamer, and the lowest common denominator keeps getting lower
What a poison pill
SOULLESS
As a kid I would have thought that an eventual Diablo 4 would be something I'd buy day 1. As it is, I'm not going to even look at it until it's been months and I can find some actual gameplay footage of what it properly looks like -- which, I suspect, is just going to be D3 with a new coat of paint.
Isn't TL3 just a rebranding of their failed "MMO"?
For new stuff?
You either play PoE, get in on Last Epoch and hope it turns out good, or cry about how Torchlight 3 is fucked.
This is D1 isn't it?
Why is it more visually interesting than both D3 and D4?
Diablo 1 and 2
More of a set art direction. You were literally descending into hell. In Diablo 3 and even Diablo 2 you were just walking around the world. Back in the days of Diablo 2 that was criticised too
That's a good point, but I was pointing out that, to me at least, the old practice of using 3d models as 2d sprites looks more interesting than using fluidly animated 3d models for Diablo games.
I need a comfy game like diablo that I can play with a controller
help
is diablo 3 worth getting on ps4 if I enjoyed it on PC years ago?
D2 is also just a way longer game than D1. The original Diablo is literally a single dungeon, yeah, the art direction is easier to pace that way.
Expanding on that, do you think there's a reason so few games focus on setting a single, seemingly insurmountable dungeon in front of you instead of having you trounce through dozens of them?
